Here goes some new shit from Grand Hustle. Considering these two linked up and created Ain’t I, this is a pretty damn disappointing record. Either way… the team is trying to hold it down while their King is on lock down. Gotta respect it. Shouts to OnSMASH. Oh… above is #2 on Dro’s weekly check in series. In the clip he jokes around before his trip to B-More. UPDATE: According to goindigital, this is old. *shrugs… still disappointing.

  1. Firstly, this track is old. I’ve had it for 3 months and I’m not friends with industry people.

    You guys are slacking on your Dro & L.A. drops — there’s also “Everything White”, “Dear Mr. Futuristic”, “Taser Gun” (L.A.’s new SINGLE produced by Jim Jonsin), etc.

    I guess I’ll have to email them to you, but Google will work, too.

    Dro & L.A. have mad songs together, not just on the Black Boy, White Boy mixtape, either. More are coming, too…they both have solo’s on the way and Dro appears on five of 17 tracks on L.A.’s

    What you have to understand is the difference between “Ain’t I” and “Don’t Know Ya’ll”. Dro & L.A. make two kinds of music: hip-hop music (L.A.’s Gangsta Grillz, Dro’s I Am Legend & Best Thang Smoking) and that futuristic swag music like this and the Black Boy, White Boy mixtape. It may not be for you, but I personally think it’s really fun music with great melodies. A lot of gorgeous beats with orchestras and synthesizer elements thrown in. Chord progression. Real music, actually unique and not vapid like Gucci Mane or Soulja Boy.

    May not be your thing, but deal with it! Dro the rapper and L.A. the rapper are never going away, they like to switch hats. Expect Dro and L.A.’s upcoming albums to have a nice balance of both. Let’s not discredit Dro as one of the best emcees of our time, either. He MURDERED that “Top Back” remix, too.
