  6. He’s dope but, again, really nothing too special. Same goes for Lupe, IMO. I guess I’m old but the new stuff I’ve heard from the likes of Kurious, Grand Puba, shit, even Funkdoobiest (those are just random examples that popped into my head), is way better than ALL OF THESE NEWER GUYS. As for J.Cole, he’s a notch above most of these new MC’s but his voice & flow are kinda generic & the same goes for his beat selection (most of it sounds like throwaway Kanye beats).

    I listen to so much music that, I guess, a lot of it goes “over my head.” I just find a lot of stuff more entertaining than Lupe Fiasco (…& J.Cole, for that matter). Here’s a list of emcees that I think are way better, just off the top of my head (just new cats, not even going into the greats that are still better than everyone out)…Jay Electronica, BOB, Outasight, Diz Gibran, Che Grand, Blu, Finale, Dom Kennedy, & on & on & on…& for the record, I happen to think Grand Puba’s new album is way fucking dope.

  19. @ Clint those r ill emcees ill give u that, but BoB is kinda declining his last mixtape was cool but yeah idk his time may have passed hype is not the same and Blu has like vanished. Idk about Puba’s new album though man I just dont get the same feel from that project as I do his older stuff Dom Kennedy is overrated IMO his voice can get pretty dull. Speaking of Che when is EGU coming out I need that shit like yesterday.

Cole is tight but to compare him to lupe is a little early i feel, just for the fact that even though he’s only had 2 albums…actually 3 with the advance…but like lupe is just in his own category and really the only comparison thats up for debate is one be lo in my eyes and through my ears…but yea man j. cole nice…lupes on some next shit…and rap right now is on some whack shit lol…D.O.A. make these niggas do their jobs lol
