Ohh… this track bangs! Brand new Bishop Lamont, featuring a X-to-the-Z on the hook and a beat by the good Doctor. Can we get The Reformation now!? Shouts to OS.

This knocks. Hard.
Co-sign, certified banger.
YES! made my day.
Real Hip-Hop is BACK!!
Aftermath FTW!
Can we get The Reformation now!?
^^
No, we never will. And that’s why Joell Ortiz left Aftermath. Shit goes hard though. Too bad he probably won’t get a album out until at least 2011.
great track.
Great post!!! When is Bishop’s album dropping for real?! Hopefully this is a good indication of the project. PEace
boo @ no Xzibit verse….dope track nonetheless.

Damn. Unexpected. Fire. Speechless.
THIS IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL. STILL PLAYIN IT. :O
Too many people been sleeping on bishop lamont. Dude is the truth of the west.
@James what would u recomend from dude?
He’s got a couple hot street tapes.
I’d start with Caltroit. It’s a joint venture between Bishop Lamont and Black Milk featuring Cali & Detroit artist. Between the guest features and Black Milks production it’s complete fiyah. It’s easily the most slept on tape in the past year or two. It’s still sounds dope today.
Then you have the Confessional which was his last street album and contains plenty of dope tracks.
Finally, you have Nigger Noize which was incredibly dope. It came out before Nas’s Untitled and covers similar topics.
He also has pope mobile but the mixing is poor on that tape. Note, all of this is LEGALLY free.
If you want specific tracks:
Hisstory (Nigger Noize)
So Cold (Nigger Noize)
Translator (Nigger Noize)
Goatit (Caltroit)
Bang that Shit Out (Caltroit)
Not That Way (Caltroit)
Shittin on Fools (Pope Mobile)
I Always Knew (Pope Mobile)
Everyday (Confessional)
Can’t Figure it out (Confessional)
Send a Nigga Home (Confessional)
Grow Up (1st leaked single of The Reformation)
Barbershop (off a Ya Boy tape)
Down I’ll Still Kill OG (Bishop has this before 50)
Cheah Beah
Feel On It (early club track for Reformation)
My Opinion (off recent Dj Babu album)
Megatron Remix (off PR1ME’s The Transformation street tape)
Most of these tapes are free over at DUBCNN.COM.
I’ve been following him since I heard the translator a couple years back.
I thought “The Confessional” (no DJ version) was better than some albums out there. that shit was crazy good. still gets plays now.
Wow this is a great beat. Please bring on Detox.
A lot of people seem to dismiss Bishop because he doesn’t immediately grab them. Sometime dope music take time to adjusts your ears to. Then he has had beef with Game, Snoop, and Cube over some minor shit and people dissed him for that.
Where Game wants to be the Rakim of the west coast, Bishop is easily a contender as the Rakim of the West Coast. I’d almost argue he’s a better artist then Crooked I because he’s shown he can produce plenty of quality songs where as, arguably, Crooked has not.
absolute fire….
[...] Another Aftermath artist whose album probably will never see the light of day as long as he’s signed to Aftermath. He’s only been signed for 5yrs… At least E1/Koch puts records out. Anyway, I hope I’m wrong and the project drops. This track is dope. [via] [...]

On Top Now(Caltroit)
These projects are dope too, theres a mix of party, love, gangsta, lyrical, fun type tracks,Bishop can do it all.He gotta be promoted way more than this,he has givin out alot of free dope records, people gotta appreciate this more, how he makin money!
People gotta check out the comment section at Hiphopdx for this track, some people r hatin for real! I don’t see how u can even do that on this record!

Oh my lord this shit goes hard. Heard it on the laptop first when I was on the road. Just knocked it in the system. REJOICE!
oh fuck yeah
whoa whoa James haha I know this track is sick and I am a fan of Bishop, but you cannot say that he is better than Crooked, or say that Bishop Lamont is closer to the Rakim of the West than Crooked I is, rhyming and simile-wise, Crooked is on another level
Yeah, I know he’s a better spitter bar from bar but what good is that if you can’t take that skill and craft dope songs?
And, I ain’t hating because I’m a fan of both. They’re the two from the west that I want to blow up the most. But, I do feel it’s legitimate critique against Crooked-I. He shines on freestyles and in a group because he isn’t carrying the track but there’s something missing from his solo material. Then again he hasn’t released too much actual solo material so…
Crooked crafts & makes dope songs IMO.
“New West Anthem”
“On My Mama I’m a Boss”
“Circle Gang Anthem”
“If You Ever Hear Me”
& alot of the songs on “Young Boss: Vol.2″ were heat rocks.
But just my two cents.
I like this cat. He’s a goofball sometimes but shit like Missle Testing and Send a nigga home appeals immensely to me, he sometimes gets some incredible beats and he has a great voice. He definitely stands out.
good track

download all his street albums Untagged/No DJ except The Pope Mobile needs a new mix unblended version. He has sooo many hot records to choose from. The Pope Mobile pretty much bangs all the way through except a few. Confessional is dope. Caltroit is amazing, and Nigger Noise in real clean. Get all those and you can build an amazing record.
