I copped it and I like it ! Yes it’s lil bit strange, and not so good, but some of the songs are really dope. And the bonus tracks are maybe better than the half of the album !

I have yet to make it past the fifth song of this album.
Relapse is actually a pretty good album. It’s not supposed to have standout tracks (with the exception of the singles) it’s music for a time and a mood. You dont listen to relapse while your driving to store at 3 pm on a sunny day, just like you don’t use MOP to set the mood for a romantic evening.
Relapse is meant for late night driving and smoking to. If it wouldve been released around halloween (like it shouldve been) people might actually get the album and the concept it presents.
oh and smh at bumpin ashers sub par album, then talkin shit about ems album….. it’s a shame that all people want now is safe/boring formulaic albums/music.
The album is dope and this comment section is supposed to be about the vid. The vid is extra dope shots of the old tiger stadium. So sad to see it go. Shots of the train statiion that the city has been trying not to knock down. It is a meaningful vid for those we rep the d.

People need to realize that dude was gone for 4 1/2 years, almost died from drug overdose a few times, got himself back together, and figured he give rap another shot and almost didn’t make it but kept pushing himself and they act like he’s supposed to be this God emcee still when he’s just warming back up and even in the book dude said he had so much trouble trying to make a song for Proof. Relapse got mad spins from me. And they were right, you’ll feel somewhat bad after rewinding Insane and laughing at it lol.

Coming from someone who usually always knocks anything related to mainstream rap, I actually enjoyed Relapse when it first dropped. Bumped it for a good week or so, but there have just been so many better albums released this year that have out-shined it IMO so it doesn’t stay on steady rotation.
Most of those “better” albums I mentioned have coincidentally also come out of Detroit…
