I got a chance to chop it up with DJ Premier briefly @ Fat Beats NY. We discussed the role of vinyl & local record shops like Fat Beats in the hip-hop culture, Blaq Poet’s new album, Eternia & MoSS’s new album, At Last, as well as Royce Da 5’9 & NYGz’s new albums. I also got a chance to discuss the situation between DJ Premier & 50 Cent over Shut Your Bloodclot Mouth, DJ Premier’s tattoo, his goals when he first entered the industry and his consistency over the years. Thanks (again) for the post, Shake! I should say … in my opinion, he’s the greatest hip-hop producer. Respect to Marley Marl, who is clearly atop a lot of lists for ppl my age, but that’s just how I feel. DJ Premier was real influential to me, personally, so I should say just IMO, greatest :) Support those Eternia & MoSS “Road To Release Videos” when you see em! MoSS is Premier’s production partner & Eternia is fierce on the mic, stay tuned….
