While everyone seems to be all excited about tonight’s draft (for reasons I know none of as this year’s draft class is pretty underwhelming); a few big trades have went down. Orlando is shipping out Alston, Battie & Lee to the Nets for Vince Carter (and Ryan Anderson); while Shaq will be joining LeBron in Cleveland for Wallace & Pavlovic. Another trade that went down is giving the Spurs another wing that can score in Richard Jefferson; for Bowen, Thomas & Oberto. And since the draft is going down in an hour and a half, we might as well use this post as the source of communication. UPDATE: And with the first pick, the Clippers draft Blake Griffin. GASP! I’m soooo shocked haha.

Just because Shaq moved to Cleveland DEF does not mean they have championship potential. Look at what Shaq did for the Suns last year. A win differential of -9. Given, the Western Conference has gotten a lot tougher, and the team is getting older and older, but still. Shaq =/= ring for Lebron.

Some u guys on here really need to stop. Shaq was not the reason for Phoenix’ crash, he looked like the Shaq of 4 years ago, played great all year. You mean to tell me he’s not a significant improvement over Z? The Suns are old, have other problems, & it’s a completely different scenario with a team like Cleveland & a player like Lebron. @the guy who called VC washed up: Check his numbers last year & his highlights. He had one of his best years statistically (at least as far as his efficiency) & single-handedly won several games for the Nets in the clutch. Also, The Wizards will be good, again, but not serious contenders. They’re not anywhere near Boston, Orlando, or Cleveland & Mike Miller & Randy Foye aren’t difference makers.
Damn, I knew it would eventually happen. The Nets team that I originally fell in love with when I was a pre-teen is officially dead. The big 3 that I used to love was Vince Carter, Richard Jefferson, & of course Jason Kidd, & now they are all gone. Now all they need to do is get out of Jersey to Brooklyn & out of my life. Vince Carter leaving is the death of the New Jersey Nets & Devin Harris, Brook Lopez, Rafer Alston is the birth of the Brooklyn Nets.

I dont see the cavs getting past boston. I really dont think the magic need turkoglu now that they have carter. Carter can drive and create his own shot much better than turkoglu can. They should have a much better inside out game now. That being said Boston is still the team to beat in the east, provided everyone stays healthy

Orlando gets stronger with VC but I wouldnt have traded Courtney Lee. They did though so now Michael Pietrus will play more. Theyre stacked up at all positions and will rep the East in the Finals again!
