This was the first I heard of Drake also, except I heard it on the “Getback Army” discs from Little Brother/JL. For the record; until So Far Gone came out I had no idea I had even heard this – I just started looking back for other stuff.

I would say “Heartbreak Style” is the joints like on “SO FAR GONE” that he was singing on, such as “Lust For Life”, “Houstatlantavegas” and “Say What’s Real”

Oh, “Successful” as well.

Basically the non-Wayne sounding joints that sound more original and introspective.

This track is hot, I could dig it with just phonte and elzhi on it but drake fits well. Can’t fuckin wait for elmatic or the feed / any other projects elzhi is fucking with right now. and as whack I think mf doom is for the whole fake concert fuckery hes better technically than the likes of drake just stop with that. Found it funny that the guy who took the “I heard it first attitude” then states that it’s out of bounds to only like artists. for being against the mainstream. Both of those ideas are just as stupid as the other

MF Doom didn’t smash it hard enough. MF Doom, IMO (keep that in mind, I said IMO) is the most overrated underrated rapper, if that makes any sense. Like, people love him cuz he’s real hip hop and different and all of this stuff, but if you just listen to homey straight up with no bias, he’s not that great. A lot of rappers aren’t that great, just because they’re underground. But heads tend to put them on a pedestal just because they aren’t mainstream.
