to preface this. i’m a fan of this website and am excited for posts like the mos def unreleased mixtape, but isn’t it hypocritical to post all of this charles hamilton nonsense, however entertaining, and then go 180 by posting this j smooth video without any statement about how either you were wrong for focusing on ch or how you disagree with j smooth’s video. you can’t take both positions at once.

J smooth has mostly been right about the things he speaks on. It’s not just the Dilla thing, or Black Spade, but it shows time and time again that Charles really doesn’t know how to behave himself in regards to anyone besides himself. People keep saying he’s young and a kid but he is 20. He is no longer someone that needs to have his hand held and forgiven with everything that happens. He is in control of his own destiny and if he put all this music and built a fanbase by himself, he should understand that if he isolates himself, it is because he did it because of himself.
What he says makes sense and I too meet a lot of kids and work organizations that took care of kids in broken homes.
However, all those ways of couping with problems still doesn’t mean he doesn’t lack common sense and right from wrong.
Hypothetically speaking if he had a ultimatum with a robber holding him at gun point and the robber gave him a option to lay down or get stabbed would he not lay down to survive (rhetorical question)? He knows that he has these issues but mae the obvious choice to be disrespectfull. I still believe he is narcisit.
Right and wrong only exist when it’s for his benefit. When it’s for someone else he’s too selfish and self center to give respect because he sees that as an lost opportunity on him recieving the rewards of attention. His philosphy is “Why give attention when I need it”
His past may be the cause of this but the difference is; he does realize it. He just does NOT care right now and doesn’t want to until he gets his fair share of success/attention “that he deserves” Theb he’ll care. Sometimes if you don’t change something in life will find it’s way to humble you to change.

Real talk,If I remember correctly I just recently read an article stating that Dilla was in serious financial trouble and Ma Dukes wasnt getting paid for Dillas work. Correct me if im wrong.
