Double Barrel Tuesday continues a week after the release of Marco Polo & Torae’s album hits shelves…
In this week’s episode of “Double Barrel” Tuesdays, Marco Polo invites you into his world of production. Sit down with Marco Polo as he constructs a beat from start to finish. For all aspiring producers, listen to the detail that goes into his craft, as he searches beyond just looping samples from a single vinyl, and truly goes into the crates using the likes of six different songs, that have nothing to do with each other key wise, and makes them work harmoniously to create a final beat.
Very dope to see they are continuing the series. Most folks do shit like this and stop the day their album drops like their work is finished or something. Again, Double Barrel is in stores now! I supported and you should too.
Hip Hop, Video

SICK !! Love the Album (copped it) . Fuck You Bootleggers !!!
marco is a beast the album is a beast. Torae is a beast, fucking raw hip hop shit all day this beat is the truth
crazy
Sick, Marco is dirty as hell. The album is fire, been giving it consistent spins since Tuesday and it keeps getting better.
was he using garage band? i really want to produce but ive just felt like programs like garage band are wack and that i need to buy a $500 program like reason. what should i do first if i want to produce? should i build up a good record collection? should i go out and spend my money on reason or other programs? of course its all going to take practice but where do i start?
^ LOL @ garageband. Protools
there is nothing wrong with garageband. if u try, u can do some real damage with it.
if u wanna make beats, start on garage band (assuming u own a mac, don’t go out and buy a mac for it… lol)
than move onto ableton live
I like the fact that the beat sounds hot. Often times, cats are noddin’ to their own joints wayyyyyyy too hard and this is one beat you could actually nod to. Marco is doing his thing and he remains humble. GOD BLESS, bruh. Great post.
