The site http://www.82games.com just posted a study of game-winning shots from the last five-plus seasons (regular seasons and playoffs since the 2003-04 season) that revealed Kobe was shooting 14-for-56 (25 percent) with one assist and five turnovers, and made 12 of 15 free throws. So let’s say that was 70 possessions total, including Sunday night … he only had one assist in nearly six years??? That’s why Orlando quadruple-teamed him in that spot. Kobe is a phenomenal streak shooter, and he has a real talent for catching fire with a lead and closing games out … but you can stop him in one-shot situations simply because he’s his own worst enemy. He wants to be a hero, he’s shooting it, and that’s that.”

The refs are lame they called 2 bad fouls on dwight howard the one where he set the screen and Ariza clearly just got bodied and the one towards the end of the game where kobe tried to drive it and dwight had his hand on the ball the whole time and kobe fell.Those were bad calls definately in those moments of the game,the refs have to do a better job on calling the game on both sides

i’m mad that Orlando shot 75% in teh first half and outrebounded the lakers by a good margin and barly had the lead! But they pulled it out even with that incredible shooting performance…

I like how people saying the refs were on the lakers side for game 2 & 3. it was equal for the most part. they missed calls on both ends. and think other wise is being ignorant. Lakers didn’t play great but had a chance to win. Good game by both teams. nothing to stress over just almost had it. and D-Howard trowing his Hip into everyone he sets a screen on was bound to get called eventually, @ least once. and on what 421 said. I guess it can be a bold statement. But if you think KOBE is gonna shoot like that in the 4th back to back games is a bolder statement.

i know but my point was him saying that orlando was shooting a high percentage and barely won while la shot a lower percentage but la could have taken and made more shots overall.. i didn’t check the boxscore and i’m not just saying for this game either..im just saying..shooting percentage can be a misleading stat

shooting percentage is a misleading stat.. you could take and make 1 shot and youre shooting 100% for the night

a win is a win whether it be by 4 points or 1 point and stating that orlando will not shoot that well again is a bold prediction considering the next two games are in orlando
