IMO…I feel like Drake NEVER wanted to be affiliated with Lil Wayne or Young Money. If you listen to his earlier stuff and everything, his swag leaned more towards Jay-Z and Rocafella and Kanye. Lil Wayne warmed to his music and Drake ran with it to milk that affiliation. (Who wouldn’t). But now you see him talking mor about Kanye being his biggest influence and wanting him to basically executive produce his album and what not. I think old fans and new haters alike who have been a little jaded by Drake’s “Wayne-ish” musical tendencies will all be able to breathe easy when his album stuff drops. I think it will sound like an upgraded version of the original “Room for Improvement” track that I was introduced to in 2006.
But wow…I definitely just talked about Drake a grip on a Big Sean post. So disrespectful. LOL. This song was dope. I’ve actually heard better from both Ye and Sean. But this will do for now. “Finally Famous” and “UKNOWBIGSEAN” are in heavy rotation. I really know Big Sean’s debut will be some great music. I would call it a potential classic, but I wanna save myself the drama from bloggers who wanna start yapping.
