Sha Stimuli – Horrorglyphics f. Nas

No, the two of them weren’t in the studio together. But this really shows how Sha could easily hold his weight on a record with a legend.

  1. Nas – Livin It

  2. I mean its Nas – I Have To

  3. damn, that would have been an ill collab for real. Still a fire track.
Those dudes like Nas and Jigga really need to help out these dope NY cats. Sha, Skyzoo, Torae all day man. I would love to hear Nas do tracks with them dudes. And a Jigga/Skyzoo track would be bonkers

  4. This is fire

  5. shas off the charts sick fyl if he dosnt get signed

  6. Nas is too busy with his Kelis troubles to put out some dope shit like that right now…

Nas needs to hook up with MF Doom, 9th Wonder, DJ Premier, DJ Khalil, and Alchemist for his next album. When he does that, or even a fraction of that, I will support and purchase another Nas album…

He can title it, A COLD DAY IN HELL….

How can you have an ill ass track like he did with Dj Khalil and throw it away and not put it on the actual album.

  7. sha went the fuck in

  8. how can nas out assosiation and esco lets go on the mixtape and put project roach on there? i wonder about him sometimes lol, but hes still the g.o.a.t.

  9. Oh yeah, he’s definitely on the list. It’s just sad that he wastes these beautiful lyrics with “phone in” producers.

  10. Come on, you have to understand the label politics had him restrict the album. He even admits to it on Hero. Additionally, Association and What It Is (Esco Let’s Go) don’t flow with the rest of the album in terms of the style of music presented. Lyrically, sure it belong but musically it would have been a disruption to the flow. Actually, Hero and Sly Fox have the same problem and should have been removed for that reason only.

  11. I mean, shit. Not only the producers I named above but you also got: Black Milk, RJD2, Khrysis, Fokis, Just Blaze, Madlib… There’s so many great producers out there and then you go with DJ Khaled, Scott SCORCHHHHH, and Will.I.Am. I’ll gladly be labeled a hater, cause Hip Hop Is Dead was garbage….

Props to Sha for being creative and going in though…

  12. Label politics, be damned…

  13. @ DangerWillRobinson

Nas’ last album was Untitled and it was fucking sick. And how’re you not going to include KanYe on that long list of producers? The track he did with Nas “Let There Be Light” was one of the few bright moments on Hip Hop Is Dead

  14. @Marshall

You’re right about Kanye. And Untitled was so so/so. That’s my personal opinion of course. I’m sure there are a lot of fans out there who love every track on every album he puts out. It just didn’t catch my ear as much as some of the more underground artists out there who have less trouble with big label figureheads… It was better than Hip Hop Is Dead though.

  15. nah after Breathe, play Esco Lets Go then Hero

fits perfectly… I mean it, go listen to it in that order!!!

  16. @DangerWillRobinson

Yea I understand about the underground artists, there’s just so much more hunger in their work. With “Untitled”, I guess it was just that it was definitely above his past few albums, and I especially thought that the issues he was talking about were really important and needed to be addressed in complete honesty, and I heard analysis of the current social situation that I had not heard from any mainstream rapper yet, cuz none are brave enough to. The honesty and willingness to address all those issues mentioned on Untitled is also one of the reasons I feel Nas is better than Jay, solely because Jay has never tried tackling such matter in such a deep way (he talks about issues, but not so critically)

  17. @Marshall

I totally understand and respect your view of it. Wisely written too.

  18. Nas’ new album is with Damien Marley.

Maybe his next SOLO project should get DOOM on it.
    Or Lupe.
Or Kanye (oh wait he’s done that before).
Or how about Mr. Stimuli? he’s pretty dope.

  19. skyzoo sucks

  20. @ James

Should’ve left out Hero and Sly Fox??? Are u crazy? Those were easily 2 of the top 5 tracks on the album. Agree with the rest of ur statement though. To whomever, if u like Association and What it is then download it and make ur own copy of Untitled, I did and it’s (2)dope lol.

  21. @ Yelloo
    BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

    wait, I’m not done….
    AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  22. @ James…
As if his albums (any of ‘em besides Illmatic) are so well sequenced (LOL)! I, personally, think they’re all good (except for Nastradamus) but his beat selection (i.e. ear) has always been suspect. If something is tight you can make it “fit” on any album…& for the record Will.I.Am is waaay fucking dope despite some of his group’s horrible music.

  23. its funny people say bad things about nas’ beats, which I can understand but look Overall of all his albums..

Illmatic and It was written has classic beats. “take it in blood” maybe the best with Memory Lane on those 2. album 3 and 4 are hmm
well think if the original I AM AUTOBIOGRAOHY and look into that b4 u judge. Stillmatic, Lost Tapes and God’s Son era had some of the best beats ever made in hip hop. Got urself.. Rule, Poison, Purple, Black Zombie, Get Down Rev Warf.. come on???

The last 3 albums, well it could of been better with beats… but the lyrics were there.. especially Streets Deisciple “Message to the feds” and the content on Untitled was amazing.

I hope Nas leaves the production to Damian Marley for the new album and focuses on writin lyrics.. man just lookin at Nas’ catalogue noone is fuckin wit him. NO ONE.

  24. * oh and I forgot to mention the statement on hip hop is dead woke Everybpdy up.. look at the movement now with Hip Hop compared to 2004

  25. Yo Shake, is there any untagged CDQ version of the Nas track produced by Kanye, it was called The World. I think you guys posten the unfinished version a while back now. I been waitin for years for that shit to come out, still not heard anything. Any news?

THAT TRK WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING HANDS DOWN THIS SONG HAD NO FLAWS AT ALL. IT TOTALLY DELIVERED.

Side note: “Hip-Hop Is Dead” was not garbage. However, no mc should name a album with such a title and not deliver 100%

If one (Nas) is to name their album that title then that will lead for anyone who listens or buys the album that he is going to either show people how to make hip-hop music or have the album be the best introspective yet listenable album you (Nas) have ever created.

The album was absolutely average but not garbage.

  28. @TrueThatTrueThat
Apparently I have completely different tastes in beats than you do. I think his last 3 albums or so had way better production than anything besides Illmatic. There’s nothing classic about It Was Written to me, it’s a good album but the Trackmasters sound is pretty generic, just my opinion. Also, the Damian Marley thing is a bad idea to me as well unless he’s mainly singing & doing “real” reggae production. His faux hip-hop beats are boring at best.

  29. nas and az is the best collabo

  30. nice track, BUT Nas already used these lyrics in several tracks… for example Ghetto Rich

  31. furthermore, this track sounds like a blend to me, because of the quality of nas’ vocals. And who did this beat?

  32. Wtf is this a ghost post, it’s not listed on the site…
