I [John Public] caught up with Pharoahe Monch at the press day for the BK Hip-Hop festival for EOW, and he talked about being a part of this incredible event (that keeps getting better EVERY year, btw). He also talked about his touring experiences and bringing hip-hop overseas, as well as Eminem and Nas as influences in his writing process. He also reveals the possibility of doing a song with Nas. That would be fucking bonkers.
A-fuckin-men Mr. Public. I agree, whole heatedly on that last sentence. How incredibly ill would that be? DJ SAV*ONE also caught up with Monch and that interview is after the jump…
Hip Hop, VideoI [DJ SAV*ONE] had the pleasure of interviewing one of my favorite artists in hip-hop history, Pharoahe Monch, at the press event for Brooklyn Bodega’s Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival. I spoke to him about the Festival (its importance to the culture & to him personally), his original Demo, his new solo album, a new Organized Konfusion track, the current climate in hip-hop, artists he supports, and so much more. This is one of the most in-depth interviews I’ve conduced on camera & I’m real happy to share it with everyone. Please support Brooklyn Bodega’s Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, where Pharoahe will be performing June 20th alongside Styles P, Dead Prez, Grand Puba, DJ Premier, Marco Polo/Torae, Brown Bag AllStars, Tiye Phoenix & Many more.

whoa there, don’t cream yourself Shake.

Pharoahe fucking Monch!
One of my top 5 illest MCs of ALL TIME!!!!!
Some exciting shit. But how come no-one asked when the album is dropping?! lol
2nd interview was thorough! props to monch
an Em x Pharoahe collab would be un-fuckin-believable. same with NaS-Pharoahe. Organized Konfusion is so underrated,IMO 2 of their 3 albums were classic.
Pharoahe is top 5 dead or alive
top 5 strictly from his verse from bring it on from the stress album…
One of the best of all time no doubt. A Monch & Nas collabo would be amazing.
A Pharoahe Nas collab would be incredible, as long as Nas doesn’t pick the beat. lol
A Pharoahe & Em Collabo= Me crying salty tears of joy.
A Pharoahe & Nas Collabo= Me peeing on myself and giggling like a Japanese school girl.
A PHAROAHE, NAS, & EM Collabo= Me sh**ting in my Huggies.
