  1. It always pissed me off that when people talked about North Carolina and hip hop, they always threw out Petey Pablo…. I’m just glad I got to go see and hang out with the Justus League before they became what they are today…. All the Justus League Vols, NC State Of Mind, The Listening, Squirrel And The Aces, The National Anthem, The Minstrel Show, the mixtapes, even Get Back… ALL CLASSIC… It’s criminal that they didn’t get the real recognition they deserve…

  2. Can’t believe I left out Sleepers as well, I know I’m forgetting more but if you don’t have any of those albums up above, be sure to cop them…

  3. Danger, whats the best albums u recomend out of the justus lge. I LOVE JEAN GRAE JEANIUS with a passion.. what else u reccomend?
and where does this beat come from?

  4. i agree dangerwill..most of the kids n dudees who come to this site really have NO IDEA of the legacy that is justus league…..i got all the volumes n releases stored away as well n this dude aitn lyin..justus league BEEN makin classics n hits for years n all u fags who bumpin jeezy n wayne had no idea

  5. Jeanius was classic, you are so right… I think Cesar Comanche got a raw deal…. Squirrel And The Aces is probably my favorite next to The Listneing. I can listen to every track. Look up Spectac’s album with 9th Wonder…. The beauty of the collective is that most the joints were so smooth and yet so fresh you could listen to them just about anywhere.

KnockoutKing definitely knows what’s up. Undergroundhiphop has a lot of good reviews for the most work that everybody put out from that crew. Justus League in the early 2000′s was what the Wu-Tang dynastay was during the 90′s…. Huge collective of producers and emcees who spit it for the love of hip hop and not the money. A huge chunk of hip hop kids who are coming up right now owe a lot to their style and production just as they owed it to the NY Scene in the early 90′s…

TrueTHatTrueThat, so I would recommend as much as you can find. Kaze – The Spirit of 94(OMG,that’s fire!!SOUL DOJO!!), Jean Grae -Jeanius, Nas – God’s Stepson, Buckshot – Chemistry+The Formula(I didn’t like it that much though), Skyzoo – Cloud 9, Murs – Murs 3:16+Murray’s Revenge+Sweet Lord, Spectac & 9th – The Corner of Spectac, Sean Price – Monkey Barz, TekNSteele, they all were going heavy with production from 9th Wonder and Khrysis…. There’s tons more, you just gotta look, ya know… Everything I mentioned above is pretty much CLASSIC, start to finish. You can’t find that anywhere else..

The real beauty of them was Little Brother would play cheap as hell or damn near free shows at the bars and clubs and then hang out afterward. It brought all cultures together too, none of this hate or “IM GONNA STEAL YOUR CHAIN” bs that comes from most music nowadays… I got mad love for my NC/SC/VA people…. The underground scene in the South is really what kept me through a bad time in my life and this might sound corny but if you dig any of the shit Kanye West,88 Keys,Kid Cudi,U.N.I.,Fashawn,or any of these other fresh artists are putting out, then cop all this.. Will really make your day, your month, your year…

    Sorry for the grammar…

  6. I forgot Median, Edgar Allen Floe Joe Scudda, Darien Brockington, L.E.G.A.C.Y. and Chaundon…

    Edgar Allen Floe’s Moonlight is the jam… Here’s a link… FIIIIIIIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
