the album is not weak, its probably the best technically lyrical album since the Eminem Show (which imo is his best) content tho is in another place. SO..if ur a fan of technique,doubles,multi-syllables then u should def.pick up a copy. if you really care or believe what he says then u should stay clear….ITS ENTERTAINMENT!

Congrats to all of the artists. The sad part is I was looking forward to all three, yet they all disappoint in their own way. The main thing is that none of them show any growth. They are talking about the same foolishness they did 10-15 years ago. What makes Outkast, Nas, and Jay so great is their ability to grow as artists over time. None of these artists do this on their latest efforts. But I am happy for all of them.

people who are saying we made you shouldnt have been a single are kinda pointless. Em’s first single is always the funny video with him in costumes making pop culture references. Yeah it couldve been aloooooot better (its only above “Just Lose It” IMO), but saying it shouldnt have been there is like having Slim Shady LP without “My Name Is”, Marshall Mathers LP without “Real Slim Shady”, Eminem Show without “Without Me”, and Encore without “Just Lose It”.
I think Relapse works alot better when you look at it as a concept album. Like a day in Slim Shady’s life. I also think it would’ve been better if My Darling was added to the original tracklisting, preferably right after the opening skit. Now the transition between “Dr. West” and “3am” is perfect, but maybe they take out that alarm clock sound and have My Darling continue on the dream sequence. Then have a little skit at the end that leads better into 3am.

Meth & Red should have done better; their album was (2)dope. Busta I skipped on, but I might grab it another week without releases? Eminem’s album was pretty dope if you’re a fan of Eminem, he brings it raw and unadulterated – but the subject matter is what gets him the ‘wackness’ according to all these folks above ^. One thing you can’t front on; Em’s album got some hot beats! Step ya ICE/HT/headphone game up if you don’t agree!

I agree with you on that transition there, I thought that when I went back and listened to it after i got the album. They should have left that one in and ‘careful what you wish for’ could’ve been a nice addition as well, and throw some of the odd tracks in as ‘itunes bonus tracks’ instead of those two. I feel bad for folks who didn’t get it on iTunes and just bought it in the stores (I got mine @ BestBuy) but didn’t realize there are two more floating around like that. Imagine if Nas never put out Lost Tapes …

Meth and Red’s album was much better than Em’s. I thought Relapse was great, had some shaky flows and accents but it was defintely not a lackluster album.
But still, people need to realize that method man and redman are raw. so underrated.

The beats are solid but the subject matters of nearly every song overshadow any success the beats and production could have ever hoped to have. To many fools get all geeked up over rhyme scheme and multi’s. That shit is WORTHLESS if your subject matter is TRASH! Rhyming about stupid shit and cramming multi’s in each bar is useless because at the end of the day, you walk away from the song with NOTHING! When an artist makes a song, the listener should come away with something of substance after having listened to said song.
90% of Emeinem’s career is filled with useless lyrics which negate any kudos you can give him for his rapping abilities.
