and it was wack

I’ve heard TONS of bad remarks, and about 5 people say it was good. I’ll download the bootleg.
Shit wasnt whack but didnt live up to the hype or the other Terminators
Nahhh man it was cool

CHEESY!
it was straight garbage. especially the arnold part, haha.
Every single rebel has unrealistically perfect fucking teeth
they live in abandoned building eating 3 day old coyote, but got time to brush their teeth twice a day
This movie was great. No where near the first two (how could it be?! James Cameron isn’t involved.) But it’s MUCH better than the 3rd.
I could school everyone to the point of the film… but it would take mad paragraphs. I honestly think that the film went over a lot of peoples heads.
Yeah, the movie had poor character and plot development. The dialog was shit. “The heart is what makes us human.” blah! blah! blah! The love interest for Marcus could have been taken out. The little girl should have been removed. Both weak characters that pointlessly extended the movie.
The acting was aight. Bale kind of overplayed his character. The love interest of Marcus was poor.
The setting, as in the environment, was well executed.
The robots were hit or miss. Some of them looked like zombies and were laughable in execution.
The actions scenes were too. Some were ill, others were dumb and were too lucky to be tight. For example the scene were they manage to take down that huge jet with the wire. LAME!
Lots of idea and potential, poor execution. Not surprised to find out the script was written by the boys who did Catwoman.
shitty ass movie. got in free else woulda been bull shit 8 dollars.
I jacked this off imdb. More or less states my opinion on the whole thing.
“I thought this movie was fantastic. And the reason why can be summed up in one phrase: IT MADE SENSE.
The complaints thus far seem to be that there’s no humanity to the characters, that it’s all style and no substance. I can see why people would have a knee-jerk reaction like that. But here’s the thing, and I had this with me the whole time: Humanity is just about extinct in the world of this movie. The whole story, to me, is about that fine line between creatures (humans included) with souls and without them. The way I see it, the human characters, especially Connor, need to walk with the mindset of the machines, to bury their souls deep down, in order to survive. They need to think like the machines to be able to fight them. So in a nutshell, John Connor needs to put his humanity on the shelf in order to rescue it. Don’t forget, the movie opens in the middle of this war, and we, for the first time, are watching John Connor the SOLDIER, the WAR MACHINE. His soul is protected by his interior armor, which is one thing that people seem to be not quite grasping. I came to this conclusion, because by the end of the movie, one can tell that he has made the first small step in recapturing his spirit and his faith that this war has robbed from him. Throughout the movie, he is resistant (no pun intended) to emotion, because emotion would cloud his judgment.
The beautiful irony in this movie is that Marcus, the machine, has more heart than Connor, the human. People are mistaking that lack of heart for bad acting and bad writing, but I feel it is the polar opposite. You’ll notice that the characters around him, like Blair, Marcus, Reese, and even General Ashland all try to play to their emotions, but are stunted by Connor, who’s emotions are in check. Connor is the only one who knows how to win this unwinnable war. So for the people to say that Connor is not the central figure in this movie are not seeing what lies beneath the surface. It’s a perfect play on the final passages from T2, when Sarah says “if a machine, a Terminator, can learn the value of human life, maybe we can too.” Connor knows that this is possible, but in order to get there, he has to become a machine first. And by the end, we can see that he’s on his way.
Do I think that MCG and his writers had this in mind while they were blowing things up all over the place? I don’t know, but whether they meant to or not, they achieved it.
Now let me say that I am very protective of the Terminator movies. I think that James Cameron’s story, which is still being told, is pure genius. And if a Terminator movie failed to tell that story, I would be the first one to call them on it. But the story is still alive, and just as compelling. The first Terminator movie was terrifying, a horror film, I think. The second was an action/drama. The third was a perfect blend of the genres, and Salvation begins as a horror film, ascends into action, and by the end, begins the drama that (hopefully) the next film will tap into.
The Terminator movies have all done what most sequels have failed to do: they CONTINUE the story, they don’t just simply repeat it. In the other movies, we’ve only had small glimpses of the future, so for people to say that Salvation’s vision of the future is off is preposterous. I actually loved this vision of the future, and comparisons to the Road Warrior movies are valid, and I believe it’s a perfect vision. It’s utter chaos, which people seem to be again chalking up to bad direction and writing. But that’s what this future is-it’s pure chaos. The Resistance is not one yet. It’s not organized, it’s not fully functional, filled with people with different motives and attitudes. So this movie is about the BEGINNING of the Resistance. In the beginning, the Resistance is spread out all over the place. Connor knows that preserving his existance by saving Reese will bring the Resistance together so that they have a fighting chance. And on that front, by the time the movie reaches it’s conclusion, that plan is set into motion.
So yes, this movie is action-packed, with phenomenal effects and set pieces. But it’s also got the heart and soul that people seem to be blind to. And the story remains.
And to boot, it’s also got what I consider to be one of the top 5 single moments in movie history. Those of you who’ve seen it know what I mean. Think of how many ways that once small scene could have destroyed the movie. But it does the opposite. It could have been gratuitous, but it isn’t. It makes perfect sense, and while people may complain that it looks too CGI, I believe that only makes it work better. The way it was filmed, with the music, the reveal, and the look made it so friggin’ compelling, I wanted to jump out of my seat.
So, as I stated before, I am very critical and protective of the Terminator franchise. I think the people who didn’t like 3 and don’t like Salvation were looking for these two movies to re-create the first two. But that’s the last thing I wanted. I wanted them to CONTINUE the story, and both 3 and Salvation have done that beautifully, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.”
While they aimed for that the execution of the film was absolutely wretched. Excellent writing shows, doesn’t tell. This failed at showing and told us what to feel.
The first act was not a horror piece. Nothing was remotely scary.
The og writer of your post huh is trying to hard at analyzing the film. I doubt it went over most folks heads.
Like I said in my other post: lots of great stuff to build on, horrible execution. The greatest success of the film was the creation of its environment. This movie attempted at drama but it all fell flat due to poor dialog, poor scene structure, and poor acting.

poor selection. You should have seen Star Trek. I don’t know a thing about the series and refused to ever watch it, but the movie was sick. I feel like it’s something everyone except diehard star trek fans would love

2. Terminator Salvation
3. Terminator
4. Terminator 3 Rise of the Shit
o ya n magic in 7 lakers in 6
smh @ ^ punctuation.
LMAO @ Everyone laughing at the third movie.
This one wasn’t great, it had a lot of problems (continuity, everyone’s teeth were pearly white, and it was MILDY predictable) but it was enjoyable. I personally am a fan of Christian Bale, but they should have left Nick Stahl in it from the third film, he did a great job as John Connor, and they should have left Claire Danes as well.
For me; there’s too much missing between T3 & T4 and no storyline there to bridge the gap. I understand it’s a new trilogy, not a continuation – but it’s still built on that foundation.
oh snap i didn’t know it was a new trilogy, what a trip…and i couldnt remember who played john conner and his chick in the 3rd movie…thanks haha
WHOEVER SAID THIS SHIT WAS WACK IS A DUMB ASS
IT WAS FIRE
I just wanna ask something, is it worst than Wolverine? LOL Wolverine was straight garbage!
It’s better that that crap.
@ Busy
LMFAO!!!!!! She probably wanted to go see Ghosts Of Girlfriend’s Past lol.
The movie had beautiful visuals in the action sequences. I’m big on action flims [||], and I know a lil’ something about Terminator, so overall it was pretty good. And I like Christian Bale’s movies anyways. I mean, some actors have movies that aren’t that great. But, I liked the movie. I would definitely cop on Blu-Ray for the collection.
4. Terminator 3 Rise of the Shit
LMFAO!
man wolverine and terminator sucked ass they on the same level i hope transformers dont suck ass

Man, just watch porns if you don’t know a shit. Salvation was good. Over & out.

4. Terminator 3 Rise of the Shit
xD haha!
Come on. Salvation was complete and utter shit. The dialog was simply atrocious. I mean seriously one of the most poorly written movies of all time.
Acting? My god, Common?!?! AWFUL. Christian Bale’s 24/7 Batman voice mad me gag.
The movies special effects were dope, I’ll give it there. The entire atmosphere, visuals, fight scenes, ect, were dope. It was just everything else driving the film was utter drivel.
No offense, but if you actually though this was anywhere near a good film you just like stupid movies.
Terminator Salvation is shit. Just got back from watching it. Full of plot holes. Shit acting, Story is focused on a characted thats never been mentioned in the last 3 films with little or no character plot for him. Fucking shit film.
