Too many people blowin this shit up WAY TOO big!!! He mentioned Meth’s name and has reiterated what he said and what he meant and still people looking at it like he through Meth’s name under a bus…I don’t get it…
seriously? the joe budden thing has really turned into this? firstly I think even joe would admit he will never make an album as good as cuban linx, but nonetheless, currently there ain’t 4 wu members that can hang with slaughterhouse PERIOD. they will never reach the iconic status wu has, but right now there shine is not in the same league as slaughterhouse. and no respect to odb but there ain’t any reason for a hip hop fan to say odb is better than black thought. budden didn’t say odb didn’t belong he just said it was “blasphemy” that odb was ranked higher than black thought which is 100% correct. i’m fiending for cuban linx 2 and all but come on, the new blackout album ain’t shit, joe would crush method man in a battle, though method man definitely has more fans, and rightfully so.
I think the shaolin vs. wu-tang stuff, will come in the other parts. This whole Budden Vs. Meth Situation is just being used by interviewers/media members to create controversy where there is none now. Black Thought >>>> ODB, I don’t think anyone can argue that. This interviewer was just trying to get Rae to say something controversial so that he can get his shine.
The interviewer was trying to bait Rae into saying something to cause Joe Buddens to body his ass. There is only a couple of kats in Wu-Tang that could even be put in the same group as joe, skill wise, and Method Man and Rae wouldn’t be the one’s representing the Wu.
People gave the Wu-Tang clan ENTIRELY too much shine when they were an average group with above average production. People need to stop gassin Meth’s head up before he gets bodied by Joe Budden on the Mic.
Not all mc’s have the same type of skills. key word is “type”!
Joe Budden is nice and so are some of the Wu members that still release music including Method Man. Comparing Joe Budden to Wu Tang Nowadays isn’t fair for several reasons. 1 of which being is that most of the Wu members mc’ing skills are in different areas in comparison to Joe Budden. Where as battling or dissin people is right up Joe Buddens alley. That doesn’t mean he’s better than them. Battling or makin diss tracks DOES NOT MAKE YOU A BETTER MC OR RAPPER!
