Since I got royally fucked and couldn’t make it out to Minneapolis this weekend for Soundset ’09; I’ve been checking for footage constantly throughout the day. I have to say, the artists that I saw really put on a good show and I heard some new people too. BUT, I do have to say the venue was the most disappointing part. My group had to leave because two of the people with us passed out(no shade and minimal seating), and when we brought them to the EMS tent we were told they had no water and couldn’t do anything to help them, they didn’t even look at them. One of the kids was puking(and he wasn’t drunk, no one of us where drinking) and they basically told us too bad. Big L for the venue and the staff, otherwise Freeway and Immortal Tech absolutely killed it. Wish I could have stayed to see DOOM, Ali, Atmos, etc.
Dfrye you didnt miss much, Ali did kill it but DOOM totally fucked everything up, we had the impression that he wasnt rapping and someone else was, it was fucking dumb. Atmosphere was good tho and phar. was great too.

festival was kinda wack this year.it was to fucking hot and doom was fucking garbage. there were a few rhymesayers artist that i expected to see but werent even present at the festival.
DOOM did do it again. I’m afraid to say his set was the worst of the day. It’s really too bad, because I was super hyped to see him perform, but the sound was awful. Couldn’t decipher a single lyric, and his hype man was super annoying.
Otherwise a great festival for the most part!

Cunninlynguists were hands down the best show of the day. As for Doom…Could have been better.

Eyedea and abilities sucked!! And they took like half of Immortal Techniques time. I Self Divine, Blueprints, Immortal Technique, and Cunninlynguists were all great.

this was my first offical concert :) i thought it was pretty tight….for most of the bands i saw it was worth the 40 bucks .
It was overall decent, I thought Eyedea was pretty good actually, for the 10 min I saw him before I went to see Hand Over Fist (Mike Mictlan & Lazerbeak) but man the full doomtree crew wasnt there, I was pissed!
