Speaking of Em, I finally got a chance to read his cover story in VIBE (while I was unable to sleep and on pain killers… ironic huh). Very good read. Has anyone read his auto-biography? If so, how was it?
Surprised he mention Cashis. The material I’ve heard hasn’t impressed me.

The auto was really good, was only gonna read 30 pages, next I know I’m almost done, recommend for any Marshall fan.

Is it just me…….or does anyone else think Semtex looks like an evil hunchback that lives in a church tower and eats orphan children at night when he get’s hungry? He also kinda looks like what dr. jekyll turns into in the movie league of extraordinary gentlemen.

What’s it like working with Dre? How’s it feel to be back? Who’s your favorite rapper? I mean, Damn! Are they reading from an Interscope-approved list of questions?
When Semtex was talking about the songs Beautiful and Deja Vu and Em described how they were taken from real life, Semtex coulda asked about Insane and My Mom. “How bout those, Em? How much of those songs actually happened? What was your inspiration for those songs?”
Instead Em gets another warm sponge bath from another fan-boy interviewer. Hell, he doesn’t even need a PR firm for this album. These so-called hip hop journalists do all the marketing for him.
damn you guys are fucked up. as a journalist you know Semtex keeps current with big blogs like this. i guess its just easier to point out the dumb fucks when they make comments as dumb as some of you did. i guarantee you he has to stick to some cookie-cutter questions because of certain time constraints and its on BBC radio. this isnt a 60 Minutes interview or Shade 45 interview. Semtex keeps it real.
@Casso for the “Insane” and “My Mom” tracks, he already answered that in the XXL interview.

The Way I Am is a must read for any Em fan. Pretty short but it gives you a great insight into his early days and also some great stuff with Hayley and his niece
I finished The Way I Am in a day. It gives you good insight into how he came up, and how he blew up. Doesn’t talk about beefs or anything like that, but I thought it was a pretty good book. He included scans of tons of his lyric sheets, with some sidenotes to tell you which songs are written on which napkins or post-it notes, lol. Tons of pictures in the book, too.
