Last night Drake & Big Sean took the stage together and performed for a Detroit audience at the Majestic Theater. Something I’m sure a lot of dopeboyz/girlz weren’t expecting considering when UKNOWBIGSEAN dropped the main thing talked about was the comparisons between the two. I’m going to listen to UKNOWBIGSEAN again – because I went through it once and wasn’t the slightest bit impressed as an overall mixtape. There were a few great lines and there was potential definitely, but I felt like he was too into himself, and unpolished as far as not rapping about the same thing on every single track.
On the other hand, Drake’s So Far Gone has got constant rotation and I feel like if it were his debut album we’d be talking about it years from now as a great one. As a collective body of work; it’s amazing. One of the best mixtapes I’ve heard.

show was crazy… wale was at st andrews on the same night..so im guessin he sped that show up like crazy lol… to make an appearance at majestic. drake’s stage presence is on point.
Seen all of them perform and they put it down! I met Big Sean (interview with him hitting the nets/hopefully this site, probably tomorrow) and he was a really cool dude.
The rings on his hand are heavy! (Good view in the group shot). One of his friends from the Teriyaki Boyz made it for him.

I been a Drake fan since Comeback Season and I literally listened to Big Sean’s mixtapes 4 the 1st time 2 days ago. Although Drake is the best rapper out right now in my opinion (no dick rydin), I think Big Sean got better punch lines. If them 2 niggas did a song 2gether that shit would go so hard. That show had 2 b ill as hell.

Yeah, I was at both shows last night and they both were knockin’ like fuck. Drake tore it down. Detroit definitely supports all three of these cats (especially Sean, he’s from the D, duh), but I had to leave the Wale show a lil early to scoop my girl and make it to this show. Plus Wale showed up at Burn Rubber sneaker boutique in Royal Oak to sign autographs, shop, and kick it with us. Dude is cool as fuck and very down to earth.

big sean is a good metaphorical lyricist…but on each of his songs only 2 or 3 bars really shine…not the whole song but with drizzy…the hook is good, the verses are tight flowing to the right BEAT…in my opinion

Drake disappointed me last night. He arrive to his Chicago show 4 hours late. The promoter put on unsigned jabronies with no talent to fill the time. By time Sly Polaroid was opening up for Drake it was 2:30. Downtown Chicago has very shady parking and a lot of people (including me) had to leave at 3 to keep our ars from being towed from the parking lots. When 3 came around, Sly Polaroid was still on stage and there was no sight of Drizzy. extremely unprofessional. The venue(House of Blues) wouldn’t even stamp hand to re-admit people. When you leave, you leave for good. They could’ve shown some kinda leniency on that considering that the main attraction(Drake) was 4 hours late. The best parts of the show though, was seeing Mickey Halsted and Shawnna perform. Mickey Halsted did his set and I got a chance to shake his hand and chat for a few while he was on his way past the bar and out the door. Besides the plethora of half dressed bitches walking around, that was the highlight of my night.

I agree with Big Mike… I was at the show as well and it was a huge disappointment.
1. Got there at 12:00 AM, waited in line for an hour to get in..
2. Once we got in, we had to watch probably the worst opening acts ever(aside, from Mickey)
3. Drake goes on @ 3:15, he “performs” for about 45min(at the most) and most of the performing was done by the crowd, BTW… Then a fight breaks out.
4. While walking to the parking lot, someone started shooting.
Needless to say the show was a BIG disappointment. But I must give Drake credit though. I have never been to a concert were every person in the building new the lyrics to every song (WORD FOR WORD).. This guy is the best new comer. The show was more of a disappointment cause it was put together all wrong
