Regulars at the dopehouse should know by now that myself or Meka don’t post albums (unless we know they are offered for free). We do our best to help artists sell when wanted, etc. The past few days a few folks were asking why I didn’t post Em’s Infinite LP. I was confused as the album came out over 10 years ago. Surely these people weren’t thinking it was new were they? Turns out ThisIsCurtis put it up to hype the release of Relapse (shouts to the plantation on the heads up). Are there dopeboyz/girlz that still don’t have this yet?

Hip Hop

this is the eminem i liked….whres the ghost of shake? spookey
good em i like most
shits fuckin hot
em is one of the few rap artists where his first album is def not the best
Slim Shady Still Got It >Relapse is Dope!
Top 10 all time album!
shit is ill.
when did u die shake?
if u havent had this in ur collection for at least 5 years please stray away from this site n never come back
haha
Word. if you guys are late on this…I don’t know whats wrong with you.
” you couldn’t make your fans throw up their hands if they swallowed their fingers” man this was my shit growing up.
if u havent had this in ur collection for at least 5 years please stray away from this site n never come back
==================================================
thats a bit harsh, as im sure there are shitheads on this site that have never heard Illmatic…
another eminem “cd” that is dope is the slim shady ep.
I’ll be honest, I’ve never heard Infinite. Never been a huge Em fan. I respect his G, but he ain’t really in my lane with all of the shock-rap.
I’m half way through Infinite, and I like it a lot. My first thought was that it sounded like it was heavily Illmatic/Lifestylez (Big L) influenced. I looked it up, and Wikipedia agrees. Eminem himself admitted as much.
Point is, I just wish Em would use his incredible flow and wordplay for more mature subject matter like Nas, AZ, etc… There are only so many songs about killing your Mom and molesting Britney Spears a man can take…
fuck em and thats real talk its all bout killa cam
This album is great because its before he came up with Slim Shady. At this point he was channelling old school emcees, telling stories and packing rhymes with punchlines. I’ve been listening to this album for about 9 years now, it without a doubt a bonafide classic. I wish eminem would make an album for hip hop heads and not for the money and without that silly accent.
dammmnn this is one of the sickest albums ive ever heard. i wished the relapse wasnt so twisted… too bad em didnt spit like this anymore
all this “if you don’t have this album by now you’re _____ and ____” is bullshit, don’t sit there and tell me just because I don’t have a certain album by a certain album that my credibility decreases, let’s not jump to biased conclusions, I like eminem but im not one to want to have EVERY single thing he has ever done..so spare me and others with those sermons.
* certain album by certain artist
holy shit ive never heard this before i dont know why but this is fucking ridiculous i am a huge em fan now not that i wasnt already but i hand in the extremely late pass because im only a younging 17 to be exact so late pass goes here haha
Yeah. I heard this years ago and I knew it’s forever a timeless project. I guess you know rappers gotta evolve and all…but this style of Em was pretty fresh. Definitely better than his new British Accent.
I gave the new album 3 outta 5 stars though. It was so-so.
Speaking of the album, I did a review below on my blog if anyone wanted to check it out and give their two cents.
http://youngsonmusic.wordpress.com/dreamers-journal/young-sons-album-review-on-eminems-relapse/
Damn once again 2dopeboyz comes thru, I seen this was posted at thisiscurtis.com but had to register to DL it, thank god I didn’t and now I got thru u guys. Not a big Em fan so I never really went out of my way to get this album, but I will give it a thorough listen, I hear he likened his style to Nas/AZ circa 1994 so he can’t go wrong.
the ppl that say Relapse is anywhere near good cant be listening 2 the same ish i heard….man the only word 4 that album is BORING..it might be graphic and all that bull but it just was..i wanna have hope 4 “R2″ but i just dont ha…
now this, this is wat im talking about..crack
The new EM is so much better than this. You must be extremely soft or left behind to actually believe that this represents the “best of Eminem”..
1. He is still trickin on his girl on this album, trying to be a good husband and a good Christian.
2. He sounds like the least threatening of suburban backpack rappers.
3. The beats are meh…
Marshall Mathers LP, and Relapse are both so much more significant, and so much harder hitting than this piece of junk. Im sure Em would agree.
But anyways what I wanted to say was…
Kind of a pointless move to me for them to release this as a promotional item, but if anything people can be reminded of how nasty Relapse is when they put the two together side by side.
BUY RELAPSE
Really, stop trippin because he doesnt rap like super serious backpack/political type shit.
You say theres only so many shock rap songs you can take, I say there’s only so many political and or “Im trying to change the world and Im smug like a fuckin hybrid car owner” songs. Not saying that I don’t enjpy a song that’s saying something signifigant (which is a constant in the music I’m apart of making myself), but that shit gets just as cookie cutter ad the people bitin lil wane/Kanye/Jay-Z/etc.
Your saying you want him to sound like just another Nas or AZ, but that’s exactly why this album didnt do well when it was released, we dont need somebody trying to sound like someone else, we need originality/creativity, which is what Em broke out and became.
There’s 1,001 internet and/or unsigned rappers out there that sound like Nas or ____________(insert Rapper with there own style here), but only one Nas and Only one Eminem, and we’re better off without him conforming to what “purists” think they want.
How’s the quality? They they improve it?
I rmemeber this shit in highschool when em sounded exactly like masta ace dude kinda yanked his style but its dope cuz he respect him
Is this Asher Roth? Cuz it sure sounds like him, I swear it is this must be mislabeled
everyone here talking shit about not having this album before are the same people the I expect to have an original copy of The Roots Organix and The Purple Tape (yes the actual tape) if you don’t have either than STFU about people not having this
I have had the CD of this shit (sure, counterfeit, but the sound quality is scientifically perfect) since 2003.
But thanks for giving the rest of the people what they need.
This shit is fuckin’ FIRE!!! @ DJ Finyl Organix is a dope album I got that after I first saw the Roots back in 96! Can’t wait to see them on the 30th!
Hmmm…interesting contrast Muzikal…I guess you could kinda say that Asher sounds like “Infinite” Em.
have had this for quite some time, but dope to get it out to the masses. very good move.
is this mastered, mixed, and CDQ?
@JL – Good points… I’m not saying that he should stay away from the shock-rap all the time. “Kill You” is one of my favorite Em songs. I just saying that he should mix it up more often. MMLP and The Eminem Show were both well balanced.
I like an angry, crazy talking Eminem, but not a silly accented Eminem. I don’t want him to be another Nas or AZ, but I would like to hear his take on real life shit once in a while.
Eminem’s verses on Jay’s Renegade might be the illest shit I have ever heard. I want more of that… Em is way too dope and Dre’s beats are far too good to have Em stay using that silly-ass accent to attack pop stars and talk about blowing his stepfather…
um that insane track serves its purpose. I dont wanna hear bout rims and champagne and fucking clubs all the time.
mainly cuz thats alot of what mainstream music thats out right now is directed
If the youth that needs the complete discography here it is: http://soundtracksandmore.blogspot.com/2008/04/eminem-discography.html
download link almost at 1000 downloads.
@ az
hes just switchin up his flow. It gets boring when you use the same flow in every song. If you listen to relapse as a cohesive aalbum, the “accent” serves it’s purpose.
and like josh said, insane serves it’s purpose. He was rapping about that to get across the point that, well…..shady is fuckin crazy (not em, shady)
Relapse is a concept album, its not supposed to have an extreme variety, because that would dilute the tone and the narrative
Relapse 2 is likely supposed to be the aftermath of the addiction coming back in the prior, so itd be a more serious em, and Im thinking if he’s doing it the way i think he will (or the way he should, at least) hell take the best tracks from both albums and re-release relapse to be more in the vein of his older albums.
an em album full of “serious” / more “mature” songs (ex: beautiful, rock bottom, etc.) it would be an instant classic and one of the best hip hop albums ever made..i doubt he ever will tho
DOG. I was JUST complaining I didn’t have this album the other day. good looks Meka
@JL – Em can switch up flows without the accent. I agree with you that Relapse is a cohesive concept album, he did a good job of that. However, that doesn’t change the fact that his damn accent bothers a whole lot of fans.
u fucking crazy ems accent? every rapper has a accent every person who raps has a accent its called a distinct feature. just like shake has a lisp. beautiful and deja vu are some serious eminem tracks. eminem came to fuck this rap thing up again and he kicked the door in.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!
This is by far the best Eminem shit I’ve EVER HEARD!
I never thought I’d be able to get my hands on this.
Thanks for this post!
Relapse, even though I have it, I am not really driven to listen to it. I’ve heard of this album when I went back and got the Slim Shady LP when I was in High School, but I was told it wasn’t good. But, now that I can download it, I will give it a try or toss it in the E artist Discography folder on my comp. Hopefully, it will be okay. Hopefully, relapse won’t fall in that folder either.
Man, people are really protective or hateful of eminem here…wow…
BTW that is not Em’s real accent so I don’t understand where you are coming from Josh.
@ Big_E
Relapse is boring??? I see you contradicted yourself there. You must hearing some wack shit. Probably Encore labeled as Relapse. The Relapse I heard was Em taking us thru 4 years of hell. Drug addiction, drinking problem, depression, wasn’t interested in making music anymore, almost dying, hospital visits from drugs, coming out about the homo shit, turning out to be exactly like his mom, and trying to have some fun making Mariah Carey look bad and other celebritys as well, etc…You should really listen to it. It’s a great album. Relapse 2 has the better shit which will be more Marshall Mathers material of the aftermath of rehab and coming back in the game a much better person and loving music again.
@ az
Those fans must have just started listening to Em if they’re that mad. Dude has an accent on every album from SSLP to Relapse.
@Josh East – You serious? You don’t see a difference b/w Em’s regular voice and that Triumph the Insult Comic Dog bullshit? Come on now…
Whether people like it or not, they hear it. And he ain’t really kick in any doors, maybe put a dent in one. Its nice to have Marshall back in the game and its a solid album, but I don’t think its anything groundbreaking.
@ Shady Universe – He has always changed his voice and cadence up, but I don’t remember him using this new accent until Encore. Maybe I need to go back and re-listen…
Hey when i hear “before em’s got signed music” there is a accent there. and as for accent shit goes name me your favorite rap artist and i bet you 50 bucks i can give you a track they did a accent. For example listen to Brooklyn We Go Hard by Jay-Z. He uses a fucking jamaican accent
@ az
The Real Slim Shady, My Name Is, Just Lose It, Fack, My Band, Without Me, Guilty Conscience just to name a few of the Slim Shady ego that has an accent/voice. He changes up every album. People can’t expect him to sound like he did 10 years ago, 7 years ago, 4 1/2 years ago. He’s what, 36??? Dude even said that Relapse is the 1st album in 7 years that he’s recorded sober so that means that Eminem Show was his last best effort. Encore was just dead weight. Relapse is just him getting back on his feet answering questions and having a lil bit of fun and showing his fans that he’s back and better than ever before Relapse 2 comes out. The bar will be set so high that maybe these wack wanna be rappers collecting an easy paycheck will start dropping like flies cuz they can’t keep up.
Ahh I was so beside myself about downloading the album I just realized what you wrote about cats already having this.
Lemme get a late pass Shake!
This track is my fav: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FTMTbeMGiI&feature=player_embedded

What about all those people who live outside the United States who didn’t get a chance to listen/cop it, u ignorant fuck?
To all those people who live outside of the states or ignored the Shady era….enjoy. This won’t get you amped like his album releases (well it might, I don’t know) but if you’re a fan of Em you will love it.
[...] For all those who are just as dissapointed with Relapse as I am, here’s a little something to ease the pain. Classic Eminem material right here, his debut album Infinite with which he gained his first notority. I usually wouldnt put entire albums up for grabs but seeing as this was dropped to promote the release of Relapse I guess its all good. Spotted at 2db. [...]

“infite you heard of hell well i was sent from it i went to it serving a sentence for murdering instruments/ now im tryin to repent from it but when i hear the beat im tempted to make another attempt at it”
sick. ain’t bumped this in time good post Shake!!
my question, is this the tape that got em noticed by Dre?
or was there another Demo?
Definitely ill, have had it for a while. Eminem should make music of this same vein now. I think any HONEST fan would acknowledge that. His current flows are incredible, just needs better beats man.
wow the nas/az/prodigy/any early 90s new york mc influence on his flow is crazy! never heard em in this way. its dope tho no question he had lyrics even back then
http://www.zshare.net/audio/60052298cffc5d65/ be careful what you wish for
http://www.zshare.net/audio/60052315bb820690/ my darling
hella quotables on it
There is something wrong with you if you’ve heard this, SS LP or MM LP and think Relapse compares.
You’re either retarded or deaf.
The beats on here dont fit his style. Im glad i didnt hear this before his first two albums cause this shit sucks
I think it’s funny when people diss this album saying that the production sucks. Lol, this mother fucker was still living out of his trailer when he prob made this. HE HIMSELF WAS SELLING THIS TAPE…how do you expect em to have some redic production without some money first?
‘infinite’ is one of my all time favorite eminem songs….ever.
dis album is dopeness i still give it heavy play til dis day open mic is my shit
‘infinite’ is one of my all time favorite eminem songs….ever.

AGREE!
“you couldn’t flip shit playing in a toilet with a spatula” classic punchline!! oh and relapse is gonna be the illest thing to come out since i dont even know what..
Relapse is a great album if you listen to it. Honestly, after SS LP, Marshall turned more Eminem than Slim Shady. Now, Relapse is bringing more Slim Shady back, reminds me alot of when I got the SS LP. Crazy stuff on it. And you gotta love Eminem’s message to Proof on the inside of the case, “I’m sober now, I know you’d be proud.”
now yall wanna like the shit but were was yall in 96 fuck yall fake eminem fan wannabes go suck ja rules dick eminem #1 allways real shit never lie forever shady gangsta we in the D puritan bitch runyon bitch linwood bitch get at us
this is my favorite album.

I loved this album. But reupload it! it says it’s invalid.
