Black Thought and the Roots band are the better things that have happened to hip-hop. Tarik is the hardest working mc on earth. he is making it possible for hip hop to have "standard" pieces--like his performing G Rap's "Men At Work" or playing hypeman to Grand Puba Maxwell. If other rappers would follow Black's lead and ease off the ego tripping a little bit in order to properly pay homage to rap legends (and possibly create money-making situations for them) this could really create a serious movement. once again, beautiful stuff. excellent.
