Question: Why is it okay for this new school of rappers (Asher, Wale, Cudi, Drake, C. Hamilton, Mickey Factz) to be average artists. I find myself wanting to like these kids more than I actually like them. Due to their creativeness and drive, I think that they are good 4 hip hop but, every time I give them a listen I’m bored with them. They make me feel like I’m getting too old for rap.
Ross is the most exciting person in rap right now until Em fully comes back out. Sometimes it has little to do with lyrical content. So what if Ross is spittin fake street rhymes. It was good enuff for Jay, Big & Nas.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say but if your saying Rick Ross isn’t one of the more lyrical and better artist in the south then
1. Rick Ross is easily in that category you mentioned right now. However, legacy-wise in comparison to the legends on that list Ross still has ways to go.
2. I said “now” (meaning south artist who are ringing bells of late) so you have to take Andre 3 stacks, Big Boi, Scarface, Trick Daddy off the list because they haven’t been out in a minute, maybe even my boy Young Buck.
3. Paul Wall is dope but not good enough to be on that list and is not lyrical enough. The artists that have both substance and have been making noise are Ludacris, T.I., Young Jeezy, Bun B and Rick Ross.
