Wale kills the live shows but he has far less recognition. I saw him with Common at UC Riverside he was putting on a great show but half the crowd didn’t know who he was beyond nike boots

I was at Drake Fri night and Sneakerpimps ft Wale/Scarface Sat night (Bun B was at both), it’s hands down Drake. The atmosphere was nuts for Drake. Wale had a few sneakerhead cats in there, but more open space than anything else. He followed Carter, who after his performance, the host said “Yall came for a cat from DC but dude from your own city get no love. What part of the game is that?”
My assessment. Wale needs better promotion.

Wale’s live shows as i’ve heard smack hard/ Drake’s a really good performer as well. Although I’m from CA, bay area its all about them Houston Rockets. I just had to slip that in there lol.
I think Drake puts on a better show because judging from this and a couple of other clips I’ve seen, he knows how to adapt to the areas that he he does his shows in, plus dudes has more to offer to the crowd imo (hip hop joints, slow joints, catchy records, etc…)

I think they both are equal in that department to be honest. However, there has been a surge of people mad at Drake lately. So I expect most people to say that ‘Drake shows are wak and Wale’s are better’

Wale because of depth and live instrumentation. You’re getting the full experience of a live band with UCB. Plus, Wale has so much good material, he can put on a long show and, due to his various collaborations, there’s the “you never know who might show up spit they verse” factor. Go to see Wale to get your money’s worth for an excellent performance. Go to see Drake to get you mac on wit all them chicas at the show . I’m just sayin’.

I saw both of them when they came to the Loft in ATL. Wale most def puts on a better show!!! UCB is amazing!! Drake’s a good live performer as well but his set was like an hour long (maybe less) and he performed snippets of his songs :/ while Wale brought out Bun B and talked shit with the crowd…oh and yes u will hear a lot of grown ass women screaming like teenage girls at a Drake show. -_-

I saw Drake on Friday and Wale on Saturday in Houston and Wale killed it Drake had like 10 opening acts and only stayed on stage for about 20 mins THAT WAS SOME BULLSHIT!!!!

I’ve been to a Busta Rhymes show and he did 30 minutes and he absolutely destroys it when he performs. He’s phenomenal. There’s NO mc alive who does a better hip-hop show better than him based on quality. Come on give any good performer 20 minutes, 30 minutes a hour and they’ll find a way to kill it and that’s what Drake and Wale do.
Oh and when Drake does his shows most of them he’s not the main or only act. He’s on the bill most the time. Wale’s shows are his right now. So there shouldn’t even be a comparison when someone has time at their disposal and the other has a certain slot to fill his show in on mostly college appearances or clubs.
Seen both (footage from Wale’s show hopefully hitting this site soon) and I have to say that Wale’s is better due to UCB. Wale came through Boston and was clearly tired (2 shows in one day) and UCB did a great job to compensate and picked him up to make it a great show.
I’d see just UCB if they toured, they’re dope as fuck.
Don’t get me wrong Drake was a good performance, the energy from the crowd when I went was unreal, but a live band and hip-hop is a real beautiful thing.
Honestly UCB within a couple years may be able to come close to the magic of a show from The Roots (not quite, but close).
