that’s the thing … everybody’s waitin for him to drop a song with a straight delivery. and he obviously is havin none of it. he chose that this is how he’s going to sound in the booth and we just gotta deal with it or not listen. i love the potential that the beats on these snippets have, but i will not have any song on repeat when i involuntarily wince every time the rapper on the song speaks.
it’s like if you bought a bad karaoke CD. swear, it might be your favorite song hidden under that grueling package, but if you can’t stand how it sounds, why you gonna listen to it?
and i’ll be the first one in line complimentin dude if there’s songs on relapse that have crazy nice lyrics AND crazy nice delivery. ain’t heard it yet though.

good call by me. both of those were the last song on his first two albums. take a guess what the last song on ‘Relapse’ is…thats right, Underground.
do you think Em is releasing 5 tracks before the album comes out is so then he can just plow through the singles and get Relapse 2 out by the end of the year? The faster the singles go, the sooner they stop marketing the album and move to the next.

this is the first time you can officially claim anyone posting a negative comment is a hater cuz these snippets are way to small to talk shit on. There clearly is no accent except a slight higher pitch in his voice in the beginning of stay wide awake. you can already tell both tracks have ridiculous beat and the first bar for stay wide awake already shows that the track is going to be promising. N you can’t get a better set up for what is prob gunna be the best track off the album Underground.
The beat on stay wide awake sounds bangin. it’s hard to tell how underground is going to turn out. Really off in a way.
^ It’s not off, its just not created in normaly bar schemes. Which is going to make it VERY interesting to see how em flows to it, it should lead to be incredibley dope

Lets all be real here and admit that Em is done. I just listened to some old Em shit earlier and I loved it. This new shit? I can’t even sit threw a whole song. All that aging, maturing, changing, etc, etc, is a lame excuse. Jay-Z now may not be ’96 Jay-Z but he never fell off. There are a lot of artist who have been doing it a long time and don’t fall off this hard.
I don’t know what’s worse – people bitching about Em’s vocal style or people bitching about people bitching about Em’s vocal styles.

I heard the album because it got leaked. If you are like me and like the dark-side of Eminem, then the songs “3AM”, “Stay Wide Awake” and “Underground” are just for you. Besides those three songs, I also like “Beautiful” and “My Mom”. The rest of the songs I didn’t like them at all, which is sad because there’s like 16 songs in the album. Maybe I gotta listen to the whole album again or something, but I personally hope my friend doesn’t get disappointed when he buys the album, Em is his favorite all time rapper.
