Busta announces that he’s dropping a brand new mixtape (I Bullshit You Not); which is serving as an appetizer two weeks in advance for the release of his upcoming album Back On My Bullshit, dropping May 19th! He also takes the time out to salute the entire NewMusicCartel (and a few other sites) for the support.
I wanna shoutout a couple of websites. I put a list together to let y’all know the team that I show love to and respect on the internet: I wanna big up the whole NewMusicCartel movement. My homie Splash, that’s my league connect. So when y’all get shit in the streets that’s Splash who I be shooting my shit through, he just blankets the whole street with my shit. The whole NewMusicCartel salute!
I wanna big up RapRadar. I wanna big up YoungKingz, Hear-It-First, illRoots, HipHopGame, BuckMarley and DatPiff.
Just so I make sure I’m shouting everybody out, I’ma make sure you know who’s part of the NewMusicCartel movement:
dajaz1, OnSMASH, NahRight, 2DopeBoyz, XclusivesZone and YouHeardThatNew
That’s right… respect our muthafuckin’ conglomerate! Shouts to Dre for the transcription btw.
Hip Hop, Video

thats fuckin awesome..
NMC!!
Dope haven’t really been keeping up with Busta lately… I’ll check the mixtape and album though…
that’s so tight, man…a lot off people may shrug it off, but it’s a major thing to get that recognition…especially from a legend. Glad that he’s embracing the way the music movement is going with the internet.
It’s cool that Busta’s been around for so long but he still keeps up with the new wave of music promotion through blogs, twitter, etc. Definitely agree with ADsix. Oh, and Twitter me: PigsAndPlans
illroots, hiphop game & datpiff are good money. damn that nigga really dont know ya. shit didnt even feel like a genuine shout out. his handlers made him read that shit off his phone. just like when there handlers be twittering for em. if he really fucked with them websites, he’ll say that shit off the top of his head.
biiig promo busta. for that, i’m gonna buy tha album. thats right. I’m gonna pay money for this record. get em busta. he is a legend. srry em
2dope? too dope?
congrats Shake & Meka.
At what point do we get the “the strong move silent, the weak start riots” though? 30 million views? Time 2dope and the NMC recognized that you are putting CAREERS together, and stop talking shit about tracks and shout-outs. At least not putting them in block quotes. They, the artists, OWE you this at this point. That’s not even close to “shots”, that’s just me putting you up a rung on the ladder than you guys think you really are. I’d be talking much wilder if it was “shots fired” (stupid fuggin saying). Talking reckless is too 2003 (see: 50 Cent)
on another note, your “one stop shop: producer’s conference” ad is going to give me epilepsy. Three times.
Although Busta has been releasing some real dudu tracks off late except for a few that are cool I’m still looking forward to this album on the 19th and I even more so curious about the mixtape b4 the album.
I never thought that I would ever see the day Busta Rhymes releases a mixtape. It goes to show that either the recession is very real or times have changed so much that even established artists have to do the full promotional grinding too; like mixtapes, leaking songs, feature on other artist(s) songs, radio spins, numerous interviews, blogs, vlogs, use several internet entities, promo tours, shows etc.
Even though I think Lil’ Wayne kinda fell off he’s the model for all the other artist who released and/or are going to release their album since his Tha Carter 3 album. People are grinding similar to what he did to earn that platinum status sales in one week on his album. Artist that would never mess with the internet (not dissin Busta I’m just being general) are going to extra lengths now to keep up to date with technology. Wow!
his list of best hiphop sites kinda look like mine
^^^
kinda like a big deal eh? the NMC.
He shouted RapRadar before all the other sites? That’s the one that fouled up the 3 AM release, right? The site that just crashed when it hit – while 2dopeboyz had it listed & it was bangin’!
2dopeboyz > all other hip hop sites. Glad you’re getting the recognition though.
@ SNOWMAN3000
More artists need to follow Radiohead’s footsteps, and release their music (face it, people are downloading it regardless these days) and allow you to pay what you want for it if you like it.
Yeah my friend came up with da name. his names Javier Aka Rectah.
