ok, so i lied. i went and listened to this buffoon’s music. came out unimpressed. liquor store is one of the dumbest concepts for a song i’ve heard in a long day. the contradictions and logical errors in reasoning are too many to list. the rest of his catalog also seems to be concerned with being progressive and conscious, but then he comes on here discrediting “nerds”… umm maybe that’s the problem with your community pal

Mikkey is dope and sounds frustrated cuz he been around and everyone has blown up but him, plus Wayne bit his flow/style and blew up because of it. BUT I see what “yup” is saying, he is being a bit of a contradiction by discrediting “nerds” or whatever, but lyrically dude is very good. And if u not feeling “liquor store” you either (a) not from the inner city or (b) it went right over your head. It’s FAR from a dumb concept song.
it is a dumb concept. his “problem” has a simple solution. don’t drink. have self control. don’t blame the guy trying to make a living, in a legal manner. the arab behind the counter doesnt have it out for black people. he doesnt wake up every morning in search of exploiting people. you know why he opened up his liquor store there? because that’s where he could sell it. thats where the taxes is lower, the rent is lower, the restrictions are lower. if anyone is to blame its city officials, not liquor store owners.
I’ve heard and listened to Mikkey when he was on Cash Money around the time when Big Tymers was actually getting played and Lil’ Wayne did “500 Degreez” when Gillie was around and thought he was an ok mc potential but nothing special.
I’m curious does he have a big buzz like that? And do people really like him like that? And do people think he’s that good to be calling himself “The Best”?
