Asher Roth Live in NYC (Video)

The day after Asleep in the Bread Aisle hit stores (and took over the number one spot on iTunes) Asher performed in NYC at the Gramercy Theater. The above playlist features Lark On My Go-Kart, Good Health Freestyle, Blunt Cruisin, As I Em, Be By Myself, Roth Boys (in that order) a Chester French performance and Oren Yoel holding it down for solo. Shouts to Grofoshows on the footage.

  1. Really wish these cats would stop hating on this kid. It’s so sad to sit back and watch people bring out the fact (yes the fact) of how prejudice against Caucasians hip-hop is. Argue if you want, just goes to show how butt hurt you are over the truth.

  2. dug the album, but roth boys is still his best record.

  3. My cuz went to this last night unfortunately I had school in the am smh, he hit me up this mornin sayin the show changed his opinion of ash.

  7. I was at the show last night and some punk ass went up to Asher and smacked him (or tried to? It was hard to see)… dude got kicked out, obviously. When Asher came back onstage he said something like “You know you’re blowing up when someone pays thirty dollars to smack you.”

    It was funny; nothing serious.

  8. its not cause hes white, its cause every one dickrides him so hard its embarassing, hes a mediocre rapper and they talk like hes dre. his publicity promo ppl better be rakin in the dough

  9. It’s nice to see Ash can touch on subjects deeper than partying and smoking weed. That good health freestyle was something serious.

  10. Seriously Asher is what Prodigy was years ago. It’s funny how a catchy tune or two will make people wanna suck dick. Is there anyone here still rydin Souja Boy or Mike Jones? I think not. Will we still be talking about Asher Roth in a few years? I think not.

  11. P.S. I’m Racist against anyone rapper who trys to use their skin color as a marketing plot. I’m not saying Asher fits this category I’m just saying if he was black he’d still be mediocre in my eyes. Maybe rap is a bit racist, but I’m not looking forward to Lil Wayne recording a rock album. Did anyone hear the rock version of lolly pop? Wackness at it’s max.
