I’m not much of a Rick Ross fan, mainly cause every time I look at him I think I’m lookin at Jaba The Hutt, but Deeper Than Rap is a decent album
i gotta admit that deeper than rap is a decent album but i just can’t stand his lies. i mean he talking about selling coke and having 20 maybachs – does he think that we fools or something?
Deeper Than Rap has nice production, but let’s be real, his lyrics aren’t impressive at all, and then with all his lies on top of that is enough to make me not wanna listen to him at all
As for the lyrics, although I enjoyed 50′s GRODT and Massacre, I didn’t find impressive lyricism… still, that didn’t stop him for takin over the game!
As for the lies, if everything rappers rap about was true, there would be no Hip Hop: they’d be in jail or dead!
As for the album, it’s great! The songs that are good (85%), are REALLY good, only 2 or 3 are not classic material, just album fillers…
The reason that drives Ross into this beef is so not-childish as most would expect (he just stood up to tell him to shut up and let real rappers who are working hard do their thing! read XXL: “It’s the truth. His music is wack. Can you repeat the chorus to “Everybody Get Up”? Can you repeat the chorus? It’s nothing personal. It’s just… Enough is enough. Let’s move along. Let’s put on the next niggas that’s doing they thing, know what I’m saying?”), and I love his sincere dislike to 50′s music (lol, which is really wack today), while acknowledging his greatness in the past!
“But who makin the better music? What’s better, “Cigar Music” or “I sadi get up”? (smiles confidently) Keep it real, keep it real… So, y’all hear it: my music is better” lol, priceless! Poor Semtex, I wouldn’t like to be in his place! XD Ross was mean to put him in that situation ;)
