lol, I love the music him and Joe put out, but damn these dudes have horrible taste in rap music. The same dudes who argued with Charles Hamilton about LL being as good or better than Rakim. Joey named Country Grammar one of the top ten albums of the 90s. ahahah I couldn’t care less about their opinion, especially since they so biased towards an obviously over-the-hill rapper.
If we go by the three leaked tracks, this album will be just as bad as “Relapse”.

Good to hear, I’m confident in Royce’s word cuz he might not be the type to admit the album is horrible but at the same time he wouldn’t waste his time defending Relapse if the album was bad. And for those that keep mentioning number one and crack a bottle like their two different tracks are fucking morons cuz if you took the time to actually listen to them instead of hatin u would realize their the same track. We Made You is the only official track that is and was meant to be on Relapse.

I used to really get pissed and want to argue that Relapse is going to be GREAT. But the dudes who say it’s going to be whack are blind idiots. Lets look at the “Black Album” comparison, though. If you use that same logic as you did with Em, did you think “Black Album” was going to be AMAZING after hearing “Change Clothes”? If you say yes you’re a fucken liar. Now you may say, “Oh, but Em hasnt put anything good out in a while, Jay did.” Ok, the album before Black Album is what, “Blueprint 2″? I personally really liked it, but for the most part, Blueprint was a bunch of club songs that said nothing, crew tracks that shouldn’t have been there amongst a pretty good amount of (DOPE) songs (I mean, “Nigga Please” is hot? NO! “Hovi Baby” classic? YES!) Same with Em, last time he dropped ANYTHING was the “Re-Up” and is it more or did anyone else hear him kill his verse on “Re-Up”(“Maniac of rap/Devil baby on crack!”)? Didnt he also kill “No Apologies”? And “You Don’t Know”? Now “Jimmy Crack Corn” is questionable..ehh..it’s pretty ehh.
You have to always give one of the greatest rappers ever, who have proven to put that work in the benefit of the doubt. Now, if you even LISTEN to “We Made You” and the actual meaning behind it you can tell Em put that out for 2 reasons. To get his money and to play around with Hip Hop heads..throw us off his scent. The dude said..”Please dont massacre the fans”…he said..”Listen to the rest of my album/Never has there been so much finesse and nostalgia”. Come on..if ure gon hate on dude…LISTEN TO THE LYRICS past the jokes.
Oh, and he has a beat from Premier on his album. Has a beat from Alchemist on his album. Might have a song with Elton John on his album(Their Grammy Performance was legendary..if you think otherwise, then kill yourself). “Crack A Bottle” is on 50′s albums. I hate when niggas hate and dont have all the information.
…oh and he’s dropping ANOTHER album the SAME year.
Relapse might be a huge commercial success, but I am truthfully waiting on ‘Relapse 2′ for the greatness to come out. I’m 1/2 sold on Eminem – I believe he has the potential to be top 10, but some of the tracks (commercial) are just garbage & annoying. but don’t get it confused; I’ll buy it either way.
I think Royce is saying he’s mad @ Em because of what Slaughterhouse is going after, lyricism. Em’s single is exactly the opposite on there, but it’s marketed toward radio audience & massive first week numbers; sadly Slaughterhouse likely won’t see those things happen. I can see it from a business standpoint.

em has his formula with singles. he might not like it [or maybe he does] but it works for him. that single rarely has anything to do with the album quality.
i always thought that “Relapse” meant Em was goin back 2 his Slim Shady persona and that Royce post gives me hope that it still might be a old Em album..

i have to here the album first tho. i don’t like judging albums based on their first singles. it has always backfired especially with eminem albums. lol
Even if it turns out it ain’t true, this post lifted me a lil. I have my own intricate theories on the complex psychological/socio-polictiol factors Em may have taken into consideration when he chose “We Made You” as his 1st single, but meh, I don’t feel like tellin an u prolly don’t fell like hearin. Let’s just watch the show.

When Royce said he was mad at Em, it wasn’t ’cause Slaughterhouse is going after pure lyricism, (I mean really, have you heard “We Made You”? The rhyme scheme Eminem used has AT LEAST 6-7 syllables in each bar. If that’s not lyricism, I don’t know what it.) Anyway, I think Royce is just mad ’cause he, like us, wanted that raw Eminem back, and this single didn’t cut our expectations, even though it was still hot. Anyway, Royce knows how Eminem spits, I mean look at the track record they have each other, so I have complete faith in what Royce has to say about Relapse.

It means that most of the album is going to sound darker than We Made You. With that said, there are definitely a few pop-tracks sprinkled into the release.
Even the Marshall Mathers LP had it’s goofy first-single.
As hip-hop fans we might be tired of the whole accent / goofiness, but it’s a formula that has worked for Marshall & the label countless times before. From his standpoint, why did 2009 need to be any different?
