Part 2 of Double Barrel Tuesday is here! First Tor & Marco gave us an inside look at the photoshoot for their upcoming LP; and now we get some bars from the Coney Island emcee over some Smif-N-Wessun goodness.
While I continue to edit my footage from Paid Dues, here’s some from Brother Ali as he performed at at the Knuckle Rumbler at SXSW in Austin. He recited the a capella that’s shown in the beginning last weekend but I missed the first few lines and decided to leave it out of medley I posted. So shouts to RubyHornet for getting that!
In the 5th teaser for the upcoming Jadakiss Documentary Jay-Z, Styles & Sheek speak. Look for the full thing to air on MTV2 on April 5th (my grandmother’s birthday). The Last Kiss in stores the following Tuesday. Shouts to BoBo!
First off I wanna congratulate Tor for actually sending this week’s Double Barrel Tuesday video… on Tuesday. The clip features some behind the scenes action during the photoshoot for Torae & Marco’s upcoming LP cover.
It’s free album day at the dopehouse. First U-N-I & Ro Blvd drop A Love Supreme, now Nick Fury is letting go of his highly anticipated Heathen LP. Now all I need is B.O.S.S. and I’ll be cool for the day (oh… nevermind).

Three/21 sifted through the archives and let loose of this unreleased video from 1/4 of the Slaughter….
Here is an unreleased video from the Three/21 Archives of Joell Ortiz’s “125 Part 2 (Fresh Air)” which we shot a long ass time ago at a studio in Brooklyn. It was one of those moments where we tried to freestyle a concept and it turning into over 5 minutes of straight rapping into the camera. Not much else going on here but Joell is that rare breed of artist who has the charisma and energy to rap for that long, break into a smile, and love every minute of it. That’s Hip Hop people.
With the release of his single, the announcement of his promo tour as well as the release date for his next official mixtape, “Back to the Feature,” we felt it was perfect timing to put together a nice compilation of Wale’s work up until this point.
This compilation mixtape includes work from his past mixtapes (Paint a Picture, Hate is the New Love, 100 Miles & Running, The Mixtape About Nothing), as well as some live material and rarer freestyles. This is similar in style to our Cudi mixtape, that’s done almost 11,500+ Downloads so far.
We set out to call it the “Road” to Attention Deficit (his upcoming Interscope album) because his career has been a journey thus far – so we included live audio from the UK, Australia, California, etc. that captures his journey around the world.
Big shout to our partner with this mixtape, Modi over DCtoBC, and to our graphics guys (and they should be yours too!) Eddy N Pizzle. Also thanks to HHU members Clif Soulo (who initially thought of the project), Tha Advakit and K-TO.
Ladies and gentleman. The Bruce Lee contest is over, the winners have been announced and now… we get the first single off The Kid With The Green Backpack!
