23. in reality, there is no such thing as an “underground” genre and a “mainstream” genre when it comes to music…that shit is just based on record sales/public image/how marketed you are and other bullshit. it just so happens that alot of good hip hop is “underground” because now a days there is alot of fools out there doing it primarily for the money/fame…but thats what happens when music turns into big business like it did in the 90s.
