  8. Dude is dope, no doubt, but I think people are on his dick a little bit too much.
    for one, he sounds exactly like if lil wayne and charles hamilton had a baby, not that drake isnt better than them, but its basically the same flow/content. I know yall can name plenty of dudes that are better (not counting the singing shit, just the rapping)

  21. He’s nice, and I love this song, but it definitely wouldn’t have fit in with the tape. So Far Gone sounded like all the beat were a variation on Ye’s Say You Will. It was nice, just not in the way this is.

  22. Drake is a good communicator….he gets his point across straight forward n most people can understand his lyrics, which is good becuz he relates to alotta people, but thats not always a good thing.

  23. Whoa whoa whoa, Drake is dope but comparisons to WALE? More like Wale > Factz > Drake. Wale has lyrics for days, if he put in any extra work as far as writing goes it’d be like listening to someone (w)raping an encyclopedia into a thesaurus.

  28. So Far Gone Sounded like a Fake Ass 808′s & heartbreak, drake can spit. For sure but his content is the same, Girl Problems, Money, Cars and a lil bit of personal problems but all an all his mixtape was to over hyped to much R&B… Wale is better and so is B.O.B becuz they have content somethin Drake doesn’t have and runnin wit the ass face known as Wayne isn’t gonna help him lyrically… Just my thoughts

  29. Why people keep sayin he’s hyped or overrated? That’s bullshit! Let’s be real if your fav underground mc or unknown mc was starting to get more notoriety don’t you think he would be worth the praise thus far (rhetorical)?

    That’s how it goes. Artist who are talented and eventually get the break (which is so rare for actual talented mc’s) that they need why say it’s over-hype or overrated why can’t it be their time is coming or they’re getting they’re respect due finally (rhetorical)?!

    If one of your fav underground or unknown artist like Mickey Factz or Asher Roth or Kudi or Charles Hamilton or Blu or B.o.B or Wale or XV or Curren$y or Fashawn was getting some shine or gaining momentum you would say to your self “Finally a good mc is gaining ground. Finally a mc I think that is worthy.”

    So basically your saying that he is not worthy? Am I correct? A lot of the mc’s I listed are worthy of the same shine. However, though I see so many people say he’s over-hyped yet most of the mc’s I listed made the Top 10 Freshman Class on the XXL Magazine or had an article in XXL or the Source.

    Bottom line is that he has potential to appeal to the masses (mainstream) and appeal to the underground hip-hop heads, the internet hip-hop heads etc. and that’s why people are genuinely excited to see a mc like him achieve success. All I’m saying is relax because there are so many lame wak mc’s representing hip-hop wrong and he is one of the many that I listed that are actually talented mc’s and don’t worry I’m sure A LOT of those mc’s I listed will be where he’s at now (if not already) and further places.
