There should be no comparison between Drake’s shit and Chuck’s shit. They’re different types of music altogether honestly. Both dope artists that are on different vibes. Props to Chuck for MORE music. The kid must not ever sleep because all he does is blog and make music.
Kid has talent, fresh style, not THE greatest but it’s something good to have a listen to.

he is a different vibe than your current favorite artists. this kid is conflicted though, i feel like he definitely comes from somewhere where nobody liked him, and hes finally getting his chance. you can tell these mixtapes are his therapy. the quality might not be the best, but its whats real. and we all [should] be able to relate to that.

mainstream is about to change. its so many artists like ch on the horizon, and when it does it’ll be “cool” and everyone will feel it.
this kid has doesnt have the best attitude (for more reasons than just the rhymefest bizz), and being a celebrity probably is going to effect him mentally. but i think he is working on it and i think he will be straight. he might not be the biggest out of the new line up. but he’ll have his shine.
you cant deny that he is real though. if you listen to what he is saying in his songs, nothings fabricated. he exposes himself in a “white rabbit” type of way on number occasions. sometimes he loses the bar just to get his sentence/point across. these mixtapes are his diary. im sure of it.

i think charles hamilton is dope, not for what he saying per se, but the way he says it, everyone of his mixatpes are another chapter in his story, i don’t know about yall but i get excited every time a new chapter release, no other artist right now has that effect, charles makes music feel like life, it impacts your soul, that’s the way music is supposed to be for all you mainstream heads out there hating on him. can i get a amen ? lol
he’s basically an underground soulja boy to me..alot of hype but crap music.

haters are wack! Charles always brings at least 5-6 hot tracks off of every mixtape. It seems like he is really dedicated to being successful…so I hope the best for him, I love his music!

“the pink lava lamp” gets endless plays on my ipod. if you don’t “get” CH then listen to that.
however you write on an everyday basis is pretty much how you are going to write online. typing becomes so second nature its a natural thing. it directly correlates to what your brain thinks should happen, not to how your brain is trying to be lazy, because it can. the only thing i miss when i type on a forum is the caps, mostly because ms word will capitalize what needs to be capped, and any other time i have to think about if something is a proper noun on not… its psychology.

Totally creative in his production style which mixes completly different genres of music, yet stays grounded in hip hip. And CH is mad real with his emotional content. No fronting. He confronts his terrible childhood on Pink Lava Lamp unlike any artist since Eminem. I have alot of respect for this young cat, especially considering he keeps doing his thing on a prolific basis in the face of the overwhelming hate he gets from heads that are judging him without an open mind. Everyone complains that rap has gotten wack lately, yet when a young artist comes into the game with fresh perspective displaying incredible skills, all he gets a bunch of ignorant hate?

i have been listening to this guy charles lately and the thing is he’s either hit or miss, but u cant blame the kid for putting out material constantly, u can def. handpick some really good trax and som aight 1’s and then som bad 1’s. if he takes a bunch of time like a year to throw a anctual cd in the stores release i think it would b great. his beats r fire and has a catchy music. jus some thoughts.

Charles Hamilton is ridiculous. Part of his appeal is his production. It’s fresh, original and interesting. Of course it can be hit or miss at times, but I’m sure I can compile a dope playlist with dope songs from his mixtapes. Fuck it- I’m done being cynical about hip hop. Its not going back to 94 but there are definitely some artists pushing the envelope. Right now, I’m feeling C.Hamilton, Kid Cudi and Wale. Gotta give the other guys a chance.
