Brother Ali Talks Slug, Ant, Rakim & More (Video)

Brother Ali was the latest guest on the Making Music segment, put on by the University of Minnesota’s Whole Music Club. I remember seeing P.O.S., Dessa, Slug, etc on there in the past). A really cool conversation with the Brother in my opinion. He speaks on his early days of writing and inspirations, his relationships with Slug & Ant, touring with Rakim and more. All of which can be seen after the jump. Above is a clip of him (casually) performing Good Lord, which will be found on his upcoming The Truth Is Here EP.

  6. Damn that Good Lord shit is FIRE!! From the verse he spit to the chorus that shit is straight money. I’ll be honest I haven’t really checked for any new Ali since Shadows on The Sun and Undisputed Truth. I’m sure there’s been some shit I’ve missed in the meantime but I’m most definitely checking for that Truth Is Here EP. I got a nice little bonus disc that came with my copy of Undisputed Truth if you need that Shake.
