NBA Dunk Contest 2009

Disappointing? I’d say so. Congrats to Nate Robinson though. Atleast New York won something this year haha (no shots).

  3. Im kinda mad that Dwight lost, but who is not excited for Lebron in 2010? I will put that in the “I’ll believe it when I see it category” though.

    Anyways, hometown team player, Dequan Cook won the 3 point competition. Watch the Miami Heat move for that 4th spot in the East with Jermaine O’Neal and Beasley getting more minutes.

    -Lebron declared himself for the 2010 dunk contest
    -Dwight getting 50 across the board, and then lost in the finals?
    -2009 Dunk Contest = alley oop to 2010 (Dwight vs. Nate vs. LJ)

    Kenny Smith said Dwight had to contact the NBA before hand to bring the extra rim out (the Phone Booth stunt as well i presume). So maybe they worked it out, where they gave Dwight the loss (he helped Nate on the last dunk? seems a bit coordinated) because Kenny Smith set up that Cheryl Miller-Lebron James interlude question of him entering the 2010 contest pretty well. Now 2010 will feature a dunk contest with Lebron, as well as Nate Robinson (defending his title) against Dwight.. who is obviously trying to take the throne back.

    Bonus: where will Lebron be in 2010?

    and overall…ir was an OK night i guess

    oh ps am i the only 1 that noticed the bad scoring that white (forgot his name) got…and everybody else got some crazy scores lol that a lil fishy…

  11. Please, dont invite Dwight back… i like the dude, but he was givin 50s just cuz of how he did last year. They said Rudy got points off on the 2nd for misses, but Dwight missed as well, and still got a 50. I was rooting for Nate cuz Dwight didnt deserve it, and Nate just killed it

    Next year I want Nate, LBJ, and either Josh Smith, Iguodala, or 2 people that havent performed in it ever. I didnt like that they brought back Dwight last year, let alone replace a brought-back Rudy Gay with JR Smith, also been in it before.

  20. The dunk contest besides those dunks was pretty ass & overall this All-Star Saturday was no where near as entertaining as previous ones have been! Hopefully the game tomorrow will be more entertaining which I’m sure it more then will be! Glad my man D. Rose repped well for us here in the CHI though by winning that skills comp!

Smith made that first dunk he was attempting,,,thats shit would of been crazy. and the second one if he could of grab that ball high up and slam that which he is capable of doing…that would of been ill! thats thats just what if. now for dwight and Nate….Thats just bullshit, all this hype and they completely sucked. only one duck i liked was dwights side dunk. them nate ducks are hella wack using his arms and jumping off a dudes back. we know when we were at nates height we used chairs or something so we can catch the feeling of dunking the ball.
