Rik & Brother Ali connect again (if you count the Jake One video) for Ali’s upcoming video. Shooting live footage of his incredible live show at the Malcolm X & Better Shabazz Center. So check for a video for Good Lord soon. Also the Brother has a new EP coming out this March!   8. Brother Ali, K’naan, and Lil Wayne (listen to his stuff not played on the radio, it’s stellar..) are three of the most brilliant lyricists in rap right now. Love the song “uncle sam goddamn”, it speaks volumes about what my generation, now in our twenties, thinks of this oppressive nation we call “free”. We have very few freedoms and this society has degraded to something so decadent it’s going to implode on itself if things don’t change. Rappers like Brother Ali are spreading that message, and I pray that the masses hear it.
