Lil Wayne – Prom Queen Live (Video)

Whatever you’re thinking/saying in the c-section, my thoughts exactly. But fuck it, this is this generation’s Biggie Smalls (admit it, folks). Maybe that’s why my generation rocked Polos and Hilfiger when we were younger, and this current crop rocks meatwatcher jeans and lip rings.

NO SHOTS!

Props to Joshua.

  1. this generations Biggie Smalls?LOL fuck this generation if thats what ya think..Lil Wayne is irrelevent in what really matters in hip hop.

  2. yeah i saw this last night, no auto-tune makes it a little bit more painful lol but what alot of haters don’t seem too get like mek said is that there actually is tons of people out there who idolize this guy. he can do no wrong in there eyes. i saw him live a couple days ago and he just dances around sings along with his songs and does something too impress the thousands of MINT girls that line up too see him and makes huge money. i don’t know how much he is caking off alll these ads and sponsors he has now but damn i can say i was never expecting him too be in ad’s for Nike, Gatorade, ESPN, and just being sponsored by tons of products. It’s crazy… you may not like it, and he may not be the most deserving artist it but there is nothing you can do about it so chill.
    and keep it movin lol.

  3. He is not this generations biggie smalls…cuz biggie was nice. Wayne is overrated as shit

  4. WOW, this is what it’s come to?? The legend for these little crumbsnatchers is Lil Wayne?? Back in the day, he would have been that one rapper you didn’t listen to. You know, the Father MC of the world. Fuck these Faghumpers. Polos and timbs, not crotchgrabbers and ice cream sneakers.

  5. stop

  6. back then you would have been able to find plenty of people who would call biggie overrated im sure. no one is above being disliked..

but whats with this shit with the whole generation fucking with tight ass jeans and lip rings? thats some bullshit just cus a small percentage of uhfuckas do it.

id say more like this generation is on theyre nike dunk tip for example. 10 years ago they was rockin.. whatever

  7. Wayne will eventually get tired of using the guitar as an accessory. clearly he aint playing shit. i learned how to play guitar in 6th grade on the wooden ones and could play better than him if i remembered how to play it. wooden or the electric, doesnt matter. a guitar is a guitar but different standards. he sucks ass live. somebody needs to throw him a hint at using autotune while performing shit like that like how Kanye does with Love LockDown and Heartless when performing.

  8. hmm

  9. Wayne HAD The Potential To Be This Generations Big But No Longer Atleast For Me

  10. plenty of people can be this generations big.. all big was was a really dope rapper. not like the nigga was world changing.

    *bumps life after death*

  11. I always support artists when they want to try something new and go out of their genre but this is just crap. Their is a difference between trying new things and doing things out of your league. Wayne is overrated and the only reason he is big is because all the white prep boys love em. Watch, he’ll win album of the year at the grammys. Fuck Wayne

  12. this is sad

  13. Wayne is overrated and the only reason he is big is because all the white prep boys love em.
    ^^^

whats up with this excuse that only white boys/girls listen to lil wayne.. yall fuckin up majorly if you think black peoeple, asians, hispanics aint just as big of fans as anyone. i can think of girls of 3 races off the top of my head i kno personally who are on some “wayne is the bestest everrr” shit.

  14. everyone that just writes wayne off as complete trash is just as bad as all his dick riders. he aint all trash he aint all good. this performance…really is trash though.

  15. wayne put out so many damn tracks that all so sound so different. it only makes sense he has so many people on both sides of the spectrum

  16. Yea that’s true but I’m from the burbs and the white girls out here are especially obsessed with him. That’s the only reason he sold more than KanYe’s graduation first week. Cuz the burbs especially the girls have major buying power

  17. I agree with yessir. The guy works his ass off. Who cares what y’all think of him persoanlly, he don’t need you to be successful, he already is. The guy has been makin music since the pre teens, so its only natural that he does something different to keep his love for the artform

  18. LOL @ PEOPLE TRYING TO DEFEND THIS LMFAO!!!!!

    pure unadulterated grade A garbage

  19. this is mind boggling. why is this happening?

  20. Damn for once I want to hear some autotune. Do sings like shit. If you can’t perform the song live don’t perform it.

  21. @ himwhosaid

i do to. when it’s on every track i dont wanna hear it anymore but when it’s plain like this then i do wanna hear it. that shit aint right lol.

  22. Waynes Guitar is the equivalent of a keychain, it just hangs on him for looks

the vocals are horrible…not hating, they seriously are

and people are eating this shit up

Im sorry, i cant get with this, there’s so much actual talent out there

  23. The ppl that r all over his dick r jus fakeass followers… its simple as that… any tru hiphop or music fan would kno that Wayne is a talented dude (well at least can be) but just makes pure trash sumtimes… C3 was an average album cuz of shit like “Got Money” and “Phone Home”… but then u hear “Dr. Carter” and “Let the Beat Build” and ur like “o yea this is y im listenin 2 this dude”… he could be one of the greatest of this time if he jus got his shit right but his personality and mindset holds him back from gettin onto that higher echelon of great rappers… he does shit like this, that he has no place 2 do and it jus leaves ?? in my head…dude is so full of himself that he thinks he shit gold bricks…i kno all about how he loves Nirvana and rock but this is jus uncalled 4…i see Wayne as a fan of music but he’s gotta kno his place… at least do a joint album mix thing like Hov and Linkin Park did or a “rap core” album or sumthin… but not this trash…seems like i lose more and more interest 4 dude as time goes on…

  24. lil wayne is this gen x biggie but biggie was amazing..i personally love Tupac/2pac too…those 2 where the celtics-lakers of rap and im young in this world but i caught up with all their discography-ys and they are beast..LIL WAYNE is what he is…sometimes greatness comes out other times crap..but when you post on any lil wayne your acknoledging you somewhat care about the dude whether tough love, real love, what have you..but damn i had to say this HOT REVOLVER IS HOOOOOOOT…better than prom queen..and he is what he is (repetition is the mother of memory) he cant play guitar but he tries (thats not 100 percent..cause im sure if he got lessons he could actually play better than just holding it) anywhoo JAYHOVATUPACBIGGIE-LEgends–Curren$y, Asher Roth up and comers..and Lil Wayne will always be a hot topic for the upcoming years..pax yall

  25. *sigh*….

  26. Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww whoever wrote “…this is this generation’s Biggie Smalls (admit it, folks).” I’m sure you don’t care but you lost major respect in my book! I would enjoy it if you just unhooked your keyboard and didn’t type anymore. Just actually, break your keyboard. They should give IQ tests and psycho-analyze customers at Best Buy trying to buy computers. smh, I’m gonna go cut my wrists now, while listening to M83 and popping Vikadin like M&M’s.

  27. @ wedemhornets

“but when you post on any lil wayne your acknoledging you somewhat care about the dude whether tough love, real love, what have you”

i highly disagree with that bullshit. everybody is entitled to comment whether it’s positive or negative. if you was an artist and just got thru recording a song and the engineer told you that it was trash, what you gonna say??? stop hating??? you would be laughed out the door and never welcomed back. if you worked at, lets say Walmart stocking shelves and the supervisor told you that your work is very poor, what you gonna say??? stop hating??? this world isnt surrounded by positivity. your pretty much saying that if you comment or whatever on an artist then you like them and if it’s negative then it’s bullshit cuz your commenting which in your way, like them. get your panties out a bunch.

  28. Did he even play guitar here cuz if so I couldn’t hear it

  29. I’ll admit to being one of the few people that find this more interesting than terrible. But, like you all, thats my opinion. Not saying its good. But I aint saying its the worse either.

  30. lol well this generations Biggie Smalls is rather appropriate actually, before B.I.G. died I really dont remember to many people in NY being cool with him like that ( a little group named Wu-Tang anyone?) he only had two albums people honestly thats it. Jay, Nas, Ghost, Pac, Scarface, countless other artists have all had long and distinguished bodies of work. Don’t front on shit, it was tragic what happened to B.I.G. and to Pac but like what Kurt Cobain’s death did for Nirvana its exactly what that whole thing did to Pac and (especially) B.I.G. tragedy can do alot to amplify or over-exaggerate an individuals achievements. RIP to both Pac and BIG, great rappers that had alot of talent, as does Wayne, but thats where it ends

  31. Biggie never put out anything shitty though (I know only 2 or really 3 CDs since Life After Death was a double disc)…not to mention those were the first TWO releases of his career (thats amazing debuts lol). It took Lil Wayne how long to catch on with the big success he is having now? Imagine Biggie making more material…it would have been crazy…but that brings me to the point that comparing Lil Wayne to a legend was just disrespectful, because one had the craziest flow ever with lyrics R.I.P., while the other doesnt. Just cuz someone is successful doesnt make him good is my thought on Wayne. Your right it is just an opinion at the end of the day…but the work doesnt lie.

  32. I’m all for doing something outside the box because music evolves as time goes, but terrible music is terrible music, and that’s what this was. I mean I liked a couple songs Kanye did of 808′s, and I like a couple of the songs Lupe did with his Japanese Cartoon or whatever it’s called because they actually did some quality shit. I think Wayne has a lot of potential to be good(though I honestly haven’t liked him since Dedication 2) and I’m for him trying something different, but do something that suits you and make it quality, not just for the sake of doing it, and then putting out some bullshit like this.

  33. U R All abuncha nerds with microscopic meat hu have nothing better to do but sit at the computer all day n wack it with a tweezer guess what while your doing that hes making money and marketing himslef he may bea sell out overrated but he is this generatiosn biggie cause when he dies he will have everybody tying to market the fxck out of him like theyre doing to biggie fxcken dispicable i bet in the next week you wont see shit about biggie now dumbasses somthing you need to understand is the more you h8 the more money in his pocket the more posters your bitch will masturbate to so basicallly stfu n he will eventually go away

  34. Fail. Studio Version was alot better. Im not hating the song, but that voice live sucks.

  35. oh and PS biggie wasnt alive long enough to try something new. If you noticed i some point in their career each big artist changed to move alot with the times. Although u might not think it.

  36. I’m a big weezy fan but you gotta admit this is garbage…he can be good at times (preferable before C3)…at the same time don’t hate the dude for making something shitty. Hate on the people that make it something bigger than it is. Look at soulja boy’s dumbass…terrible rapper but hey the man got paid, dont blame him, blame the douche bags that buy his albums.

  37. “this generations BIG”
    ???
damn is why payin u to suck his dick???

  38. is wayne payin u to suck his dick?

  39. As if Ghettohotmess.com didn’t have enough ammo. Now thanks to this there are going to be a bunch of stupid ass teenagers at prom with their pants of their tux hanging off their ass.

  40. @ b-REAL

cosign that. majority of people buy the albums and/or singles cuz of popularity of that artist while the very few of us buy it cuz of the material which is why music is what it is today, not the artist’s.

  41. lmao this nigga look crazy doing this he gettin money tho it dont matter

  42. he knows he can’t sing right?

  43. “Whatever you’re thinking/saying in the c-section, my thoughts exactly. But fuck it, this is this generation’s Biggie Smalls (admit it, folks)”

    ^^^^
Does that means he’ll be dead soon?…..Too soon?

  44. big was only bound to put out an album that wasnt as good as the first two and then people would start hating on him and who knows how it would have turned out..

  45. Meka is clownin putting Wayne in the same setence as BIG. Yes, BIG’s death amplified his legacy, but BIG was timeless regardless of his body of work. Wayne is not timeless. I don’t care how much material he puts out.

Some of Wayne’s lyrics and concepts are creative, but they aren’t born in his syrup head. I’ll check a Wayne joint but his voice is damn near unlistenable most of the time. Ya’ll seen Lord of the Rings? Wayne sounds like Smeagol wit a mic.

  46. [...] via 2dopeboyz [...]

  47. My generation’s Biggie Small’s wasn’t Biggie Smalls. The dude at 2 mediocre albums. Now if you said he was my generation’s 2Pac then maybe. But Lil Wayne is not Pac, hell he isn’t even Biggie.

  48. 21 SECONDS….

    stop..

  49. OMGGG dude is acting like a fuckin shit up the butt..homo intended! who tries this hard..and u call urself real hip hop get the phuckkk Outta here

  50. @Niko Bellic

Why are you always dick ridin?

Yes, A lot of people do buy material because of the content, not the popularity.

otherwise, they would just download it off the internet, like most of them do now
