Zion I – DJ DJ

Zion I are planning for a big year and I hope they get it. I’ve been a fan of these two for years now and wish them the best! I’m still blasting The Search & The Seizure mixtape. Now we get the first leak from their upcoming album, The Takeover, which is scheduled to drop February 17th on Gold Dust.

“DJ DJ” is a forward thinking homage to the backbone of hip-hop, the DJ. “Planet Rock” style electro gets run through a 2009 prism for a stadium-sized track full of emcee Zumbi’s nimble flow and producer AmpLive’s drums of death. Zion I consistently prove that they know their history, but keep their eyes on the future.

  6. shake, any news on why it was pushed back? I thought the release date was set for Jan 27th. My pre-order still says that too though.
