Before I hit the sheets (far later than I wanted to), here are some new live joints from Mos Def! Tonight (January 9th) Mos performed at the Highline Ballroom and played a slew of joints off his upcoming release, The Ecstatic. The opening of the set he debuted his remix to Brooklyn Go Hard as well as an album cut entitled Casa Forte. Thanks to allthewaylive we have some mp3s of the performance. UPDATE: Hit the jump for video of Mos performing Casa Forte in Seattle.

Mighty Mighty Mos!!!!
DOPE!
This is the Mos I remember!
Damn it sounds hot! Mos Def would kill this. He should release his version of this song.
I’m pretty sure his version & Crooked I (who did it over) would be the best because Jay-Z was weak on his on song!
*waiting for the Biggie/Jay-z/Fab/Mos Def blend….*

Seriously… where’s the f#cking album??
I was there in Seattle. Dope show.
Wow he just embarrased Jay on that beat…
Perfect situation to prove how a real emcee can come along and school a emcee with minimal lyrical skills (Jay)

^^^^^^^^
While I dont agree with jays lack of skill, Mos is the better emcee and as such murked the beat MUCH harder than hov did.
Embararrased Jay? Nah, but he DID get busy. Bout damn time. Hopefully this album is Brooklyn and not Jupiter

Love when Mos preformes, he rarely raises his arms above his abs. But he’s got the goods, of course. This album is gonna be dope, and Feburary is going to be a huge month.
