k’naan is definitely worth peeping out. his “my life is a movie” tape is dope on the tracy chapman cut alone. plus he’s got some mpls connects so i gotta big up him.
and check him out live. saw him this fall and the show was ridiculous. crowd got mad into it and he fed off it. performed the “somalia” cut that got thrown on here a couple days ago and by the end of it i was singing along like i knew it.

He’s just great! I’ve seen him live in Prague and back then I didn’t know him at all. Surprisingly, it was one of the best performances I’ve seen that year (2006 I think).
