First, thanks to you guys for letting the public in on David Axelrod. He has been sampled by the best! Why…because Axelrod is waaaay ahead of his time and NOW the fans, artists and producers have finally caught up! Perhaps the next generation will catch up to his newer works….not something from 1968!!

Regarding Madlib, who has sampled “AXE” so many times I even have lost count, instead of talking up David Axelrod I think at this stage “AXE” would rather have Madlib talk less and pay some “coin”(as he has never, ever licensed ANY Axelrod music or paid a penny)!

In today’s times it is known as Intellectual Property Theft! Fxxk all who say, “Well at last Axelrod is now getting exposure, blah, blah, etc.”. If you steal someone’s creation and get caught …now you pay. If you want to use the talented creations of Axelrod pay for it or DO NOT USE IT! I think the saying goes if you make the music fit the rhyme, pay the Fxxking dime!

Pass it on, the Axelrods will get those in the end for committing such a overt crimes…the stealing of Axelrod’s music because “they” cannot even write a chord or note. If it is sooo easy you try it….are you listening?

Bring it on before our lawyers bring it to you…it is not to late.

Yeah,”Holy Thursday” has been sampled almost forever, I ask myself one thing ,”Gee I wonder why”? With over 300 samples and only 25 licensed it is no wonder his name is not on the tip of every tongue.

His music will continue to be discovered long after the Hip is left out of the hop, and the beat will just keep going on. Think anyone will remember Lil Wayne 40 years from now? They seem to remember “Holy Thursday” 1 song of aprox. 15 self composed albums…40 years old!!

I got you on that lil wayne cut, i actually heard my sis listening to this when it leaked, then i was like… WHAATTTTT? THAT”S LIL WAYNE!!! I’m not a fan of his stuff, but this track is just so crazy… lyrics and beat. Would have been nice to hear OC on it since it has that “Times Up” feel… Samples are dope though. Didn’t even check the sample for these tracks though…

swizz didn’t do shit. that loop is old as fuck, been used to death in the 90′s so whatever to that shit. preemo did damage (as usual) to the “smile” track. but the drum pattern surprised the hell out of me. i’m shocked he didn’t use one of his usual drum patterns/drum set that 9th wonder bit, i mean loved so much. nice…
