Here is a brief trailer for South Coast, a documentary based on the hip-hop culture based out of the British seaside towns. It’s actually kind of dope to see international countries’ take on hip-hop culture, as most of them tend to do it much better than the States sometimes.

its hard 2 take sum of their shit serious wit those strong ass accents but all the shit they say waaaaay truer 2 hiphop then wut half the niggaz here talk bout. im def gonna try and watch this… oh yea and i also heard that in Japan the hiphop scene is even more ridiculous..
like dude above said, their accents REALLY FUCK it up for me.but some of their beats (m-phazes) are on point..but their subject matter gets tired sometimes, I.E. “keepin hiphop true” how they “love hiphop” nothing beats TRUE american hiphop stories east to WEST….
I’m from the UK and i love uk hip hop but the majority of these south coast mc’s are weak. London’s the home of UK hip hop, mc’s like Klashnekoff, Jehst, Fallacy, Rodney P, Skinnyman, Lowkey, Doc Brown, Stylah, Skrein, Kano, Dizzee, Wiley and the grime kids are the ones making quality uk hip hop.
Don’t get me wrong there’s some nice mc’s from Brighton way but in general… wack!
I grew up in new york, and best believe i try to show every region their shine, but i can’t relate to a lot of it because i don’t speak their words (or rather MY english and THEIR english is two different languages). HOWEVER, i’ll still watch this movie in hopes that it might open my perspective a bit more because i’m always looking for new music to bump.
