  1. crooked is 2-0

  2. In Two Bars I Send Yo Mans Scramblin’!

    WHAT!?!?!

    ill.

  3. royce flow = much better than both.
    Lyrics = Crooked

Joe is always good, but not ‘great’

  4. My vote goes to Royce

  5. Royce or Crooked.. although no matter what i’m Royce bias, the boy can flow.

  6. Royce & Crooked take the fuckin’ cake, but they all came correct.
OMG I can’t wait for the album.

  7. goodnight all you other rappers

  8. can there be a better group of non-mainstream rappers?!?!?

shake… i believe you said u had a hand in making crooked a part of the group.. lol NICE WORK haha… i always wanted to hear a track with buddens/crooked together… and ortiz and royce just make the tracks even better.

anyone know if these 4 are actually making a mixtape or album ?? that would be ill…

and OMG… CROOKED I… “you aint gotta watch tim duncan jump to see a flying spur”…

  9. Crooked I loves paul pierce….2nd time he’s used his name on a track

  10. Royce just knows how to murder a beat, flow wise and the lyrics to top it… I just love that these fools are crazy to make this shit happen!

    1) Royce
    2) Crooked I
    3) Joell
    4) Joe Budden
but this ain’t a battle, it’s a war, let’s hear the album and see who kills that shit.

  11. Greatest HIP-HOP Group Ever!!

    BET DAT!!

  12. JOELL!!!

  13. crooked i, joell, royce, budden. and im a joey stan.
    slaughterhouse >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  14. Slaughterhouse = the Travelling Wilburys of hip hop.

    That’s all I can say.

  15. OMG Crooked I went in!!! Holy Christ!!!

Him and Joel Ortiz bodied this track!!!!!!!!!!! HIP-HOP is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I love this group already!
They are all so dope that anyone who listens to a track with all 4 of them could think Royce, Crooked I, Joel or Joe Budden had the best verse. It’s debate-able depending on what you like to hear or who you like to hear.

    I’d say on this trk:

    1. Crooked-I
    2. Joel Ortiz
    3. Royce 5’9”
    4. Joe Budden

  16. Crooked murdered them niggas.

Joe came better than the first track, but was outshined by everybody.

    Crooked > Joell > Royce > Joe

  17. crook = TKO

where the fucc is nino ? that nigga spits !

  18. Crooked killed that shit again.

    1. Crooked I
    2. Joell Ortiz
    3. Royce
    4. Joe Budden

Budden’s been surprisingly weak on these two tracks. Especially considering he’s the one talking all the shit.

They need to reveal what they working on, album or mixtape?

  20. Joey is not going to be surpassed on this. The sickest of the bunch. I mean they all did there thing for sure but my vote goes to budden

  21. i thought joe buttens did well

all this group needs T-”its so cold in the D” Baby and the rap game is over

but for reals its sad how these guys prob wont get appreciated by todays young kids. all they want are vocoders n shit

  22. lol OMG CROOKED IS 2-0! yo that dude is straight throwin up on these tracks!

“and i push buttons like jay shoulda did joe”

all them destroyed this… i think inarguably Crooked I and Joell had the best verses followed by joe and royce.

either way this is just great shit!

  23. “im a molotov crossed with a nuke/ see i swallow liquor bottles till they hallow then i crawl in the booth/ im the truth, polygraph crooked, you probably have a cardiac heart attack when i autograph bullets/ more caskets, put so much bread on your head when my gunners are done they gonna owe taxes/ tell em all crooked came for war, the best ever on the west unless your last name shakur”

    ^game over …. wow

  24. this joint is fresh…i think i dig the other joint more, I am glad they left nino bless off of the new joint, his verse was subpar at best

my vote for who ripped this is a toss up between Crooked and Joell

  25. OMG

  26. everybody was fire on this… period.

  27. CROOKED I CRAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZY

  28. I love this track. Crooked I murdered this shit. It’s not even about them non-commercial because if they had that shine with their talent they would want to rep off GP. If they rock a cd together niggas (fans of all emcees) gotta support !!!

  29. Can’t wait to her more from this group. Crooked I’s a beast! I had no idea.

  30. these niggas are about to make rappers nervous for real, if they havent already… Point. Set. Match! I think Royce has the best flow of them all but Crooked had the best verse

  31. Royce’s flow been bonkers since he dropped that “Buzzin” song on one of the MIC mixtapes..

I HOPE to GOD they don’t put Nino Bless on no songs, that Nigga’s wack. So WHAT if he can write, I can write too, he still sucks at RAPPING what he writes. If every good writer would get on, we’d have a bunch of wack, monotone can’t deliver a verse for shit rappers.

anyways, it went like this for me:

crooked i, joell ortiz, royce 5’9″, budden.

  32. First of all, thanks to all involved who made this track happen. To be quite honest this shit is sicker than Swagger Like Us as fare as collabo cuts go. Each emcee did his thing without question. Buddens had a sick cadence to his verse, Joell has the slick punchlines, Crooked can put a shit load of lyrics in just a few bars, but at the end of the day… it’s tough for most emcees to compete with Royce because he covers ALL bases very well!! SICK SONG!! Can’t wait for more from “The Voltron Crew.”

  33. Well they got rid of their weak-link, Nino Bless. They all came correct! can’t wait to hear more from them!

  34. royce killed it

  35. Joell
    Royce
    Crooked
    Budden

  36. i cant beleive dudes still hating on Nino SMH…. that dude has outshined each and every one of these dudes on previous collab tracks…

  37. Joe took slaughterhouse hands down but Crooked got this one just as easily. Crooked I destroyed this shit!. Royce and Joe pretty much tie with very dope verses for 2nd and third. Joell came in 4th as usual with a solid yet very insufficient verse. You have to be a fool to think Joell murdered Joe or Royce on this or even came close. I cannot fucking wait for this album to drop. The joint is stupid.

  38. Joell barley got Crooked but that could go either way. After 1 listen i score it
    Joell
    Crooked
    Joey
    Royce
But they all kill it. It’s like trying to argue who’s the best running back ever. Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders or Emmitt Smith. I def agree w/ArchAngel way better posse cut than swagger like us.

  39. ^^^ Oh maaannn…I can’t co-sign Joell coming in 4th on this one…seriously?!? Like stated before, Crook melted the booth…those niggas had to switch recording locations to let Joell lay his shit afterwards…Royce had great cadence, Joey had heat per usual, but IMO Crooked I launched a NUKE in this bitch. Joell came in 2nd, and I’d have to tie Joe and Royce for 3rd place…this shit is crazy…

btw, before anybody gets butt-hurt over the shit, I’m as big a Joe Budden fan as you’ll find…but real is real; he was not the best on this song. period.

    Hip Hop is Back!

  40. Crooked
    Royce
    Joell
    Joey

I hope this is the last track they do together because both have been awful. Does anyone agree that Joe Budden sounds out of place? The production is absolutly horrid I mean I made better beats to rhyme to in highschool

  41. [...] Link borrowed from the dopehouse. [...]

  42. lol wow….there’s no pleasing Unxpekted…I haven’t seen a positive post yet from homie…ahh well…

  43. I would say it’s between Crook & Joell for who came the best overall I can’t decide on who yet then Royce & Joe! They all got off but Joe let them all get off way more then what he did though!

  44. see ain’t yall glad these fools started this shit instead of beefing.

    hip hop.

  45. just to add my 2 cents, royce bodied this shit. rewind that shit.

  46. this song is insane. i can only see crazy stuff for the future.

    #1 = Crooked I definately
    #2: Royce

  47. Slaughterhouse is a full on rager in the middle of science (and I won’t say no homo…that shit is so stupid…you’re just thinking gay if you gotta say that after!).

I think I have to give it to Joell. Hip Hop Prayed And Gave Pun Right Back. DAMN.

  48. Crooked
    Royce
    Joell
    Joey

I hope this is the last track they do together because both have been awful. Does anyone agree that Joe Budden sounds out of place? The production is absolutly horrid I mean I made better beats to rhyme to in highschool
    ^^^

i hope this niggas computer overheats and blows up in his fucking face, he’s always hating on sum shiyet

  49. ^^^LMAO….damn I can’t stand the man’s all out hate campaign, but I don’t want him to come away looking like Nick Cage in Face/Off either…LMAO

  53. joe shit was sub par as far as this song goes and everyone else was honestly neck and neck cause most of y’all is a lil bias to your fav..

joel and crooked i exceeded the expectations though
they should’ve let joe budden start

  54. oNe mAn gAng your obviously not viewing any threads that pertain to real hip hop or you would see I have a ton of positive comments and feedback.. I have even sent certain users on this thread rare music.. I agree though man I am hard to please, Im not hating Im just a real tough critic, you have to be when you are as invovled and knowledgable about the subject of music and hip hop as I am… I speak my mind you know that, BUT I def respect your opinion and others as well.. I just think the tracks so far have been lackluster mainly in the production area and chemistry Joe Budden does not fit this group at all… He has never been the verse killing machine these other artists are considered (neither Joell)

    As for STFU

Your an idiot, LOL you have nothing to say so I wont even consider you.. I have never seen you post in a thread that pertains to something other than commercial hip hop…

Either way thanks for the track shake and I guess I can hope for a better track next time, something that did impress me however I recently bumped into is:

The Best of Madlib (Mixed by DJ Jayceeoh)
DJ Muro – Blunted (Stone Throw Edition) JP

  55. crooked ripped that shit nasty

  56. I’m thinking one mAn gAng wanna take back his comments now and wish that Face Off shit on this fool..

It’s a toss up between Crook and Joell, although on track it sounds like Joell, on lyrics it sounds like Crook….shit is HARD ALL THROUGHOUT man….

  57. Joey need to step up bro but this is hip hop u cant hate it there all animals

  58. WELL ON THE REAL THEY ALL KILLED IT VERY LYRICAL TRACK WAITIN TO SEE WHAT ELSE THEYRE WORKIN ON
    TO ME IT GOES

    JOELL
    CROOKED I
    JOEY
    ROYCE

  59. i swear unxpekted always be on joey posts hatin lol

  60. always.

  61. JaYdAgR8 theres a difference between hate and recognition

if the opposite is hate is love than cant there be an extreme for jockin something? Maybe others are jocking something that someone with alil more knowledge realizes isnt so fresh.. regardless its not hate its an opinion… Cats get to caught up on hating. I had a guy tell me Shawty Lo was better than Nas I disagreed and all he would say is naaahh u hatin u hatin

    Come on now..

    Vote Obama

    1

  62. CROOKED I TOOK THE CROWN
    2/2
THESE OTHER KATS WENT HARD ON THE TRACK

  63. it becomes hatin when you go into every post and do it and over and say the same things over and over. i can put money on it now that when the next budden utube video drops, youll be in the comments

  64. fuck the hatin who cares, all four of these mc’s killed (i’d say about 90% agree that this is a crazy project in general and crazy song specifically)…i think joe’s verses have been completely up to par with these guys lyrically but flow-wise, royce is the beast imo (crooked has this one after listening to it several times)…lol at royces first line “you are dealin with a four-headed monster, yall are john mccain you can’t put your arms up”

  65. best quartet=freestyle fellowship

  66. WADUP SKEME Haha Shot out to Skeme, he’s the only real cat on here up to par with real hip hop.. Well said Skeme, hey these cats dont know freestyle session with the fellowship.. Not even slaughterhouse is touching there days…

  67. lol…I’ll just say this: Like previously stated, it’s all about opinions. So just because someone may lean more towards what you consider as “commercial” doesn’t make you more knowledgeable on hip hop and the others ignorant…and vice versa. I, for one, am up on DOOM and MadLib, Quas, the whole nine…

As far as Freestyle Fellowship goes, they were hot…however, that was in a different day. My all-time favorite hip hop duo is Blackstar, but I’m not gonna go shitting on Little Brother every rip because I’m thinking about the “Golden Days”, feel me? Just like those who consider Jay Z to be one of the greatest ever get the sideeye from oldschool Rakim and Big Daddy Kane fans is the same way that you are giving the sideeye to Slaughterhouse fans it seems. Different times, different tastes, different expectations.

    Peace…oh and LOL @ Quali’s comment…

  68. everybody is sayin that joey came last on this track. in my opinion joey murdered that shit. it took me a while for his verse to grow on me but seriously, his lyrics flew over most of ya’lls heads.
“my m.o. is rambo ammo…on wax so lets beef wit no candles” =cake
“treat comp like richard simmons/behind closed doors the boy gon manhandle em” = icing

  69. oNe mAn gAng you make some good points unfortunately nothing you said pertains to me.. As for your comment on saying if someone leans toward commercial it doesnt make someone more knowledgeable this is false. If your only informed on something that is in front of your eyes and content with what your seing (i.e. commercial music), then you would you only have knowledge about whats in front of you? If I can see what it is in front of me and recognize the vision isnt as vibrant as it is when looking also behind me and the sides (underground rare hard to find music im diggin in the crates).

As for you saying Freestyle Fellowship was hot “in there day” regardless history is a platform for other artists.. Music is timeless, this was quartet that could FREESTYLE.. Not to bash Budden but I have never heard a drop my draw OFF THE TOP freestyle..

I love Little Brother so why would I shit on them? The Listening and the GC mixtapes were golden.. Jay is not the GOAT thats known…

And Blackstar as you stated is duo were talking about quartets FOUR artists, duo’s theres too many to name Binary Star, Mood, the list goes on to about 1,000.

You took me out of context all I said is the production is weak and Joe has no chemistry in the group… Rergardless of what era time day color race, anyone who knows REAL music would agree the production is weak…

Regardless its all love, go vote Obama…

SpazzK thats not over anybodys head and to be honest those are quite simple half ass metaphors, theres no punch and they state nothing substantial

  70. Unxpekted aka DMV’s Disciple: i think wat one man gang is tryin to say is that if youve heard A Tribe Called Quest/Q Tip, Common, MF DOOM, Madlib or any of his aliases, LB, Rakim, Lupe, etc but like soulja boy better, then it wouldnt make their musical knowledge above yours, its just opinions.

personally i’d never support a soulja boy or anyone like him but if u do then idc. im more of an underground head myself, but thats just my opinion on wat i like.

  71. oh yeah and

    VOTE FOR OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!

  72. Whose on production tho? For me Royce killed it both in term sof content amd flow. Crooked tho…. SICK!!! Buddens steped up also, all MC’s came correct, and all stayed on the beat…. Hopefully th album/mixtape/EP drops but NO guest appearances just the 4 cats…..
Definatly Crooked > Royce > Joell > Buddens

  73. thank you JaYdAgR8…I was merely using EXAMPLES DMV…I used BlackStar as an example…Little Brother was the counter-example. If somebody’s screaming “LB is that REAL HIP HOP! There isn’t a group doper right now!” Why would I run in and shit on them like “Yo….them niggas are garbage; they ain’t no Blackstar….”

Plug in names as you see fit so you can understand my point. What I said DOES apply to you. For one, you don’t know what someone has heard or hasn’t heard…if we’ve heard the same shit, but I say I like this over here better and don’t mention what YOU think is better, it doesn’t make you a guru on music and me an idiot…it’s what I like. Vice Versa.

  74. JaYdAgR8 says but like soulja boy better, then it wouldnt make their musical knowledge above yours, its just opinions.

Im sorry that makes no sense man there you go with the Souljah Boy again, no offnese if you like Souljah Boy and as you said before “HE IS HIP HOP” thats you, if your opinion suggests runing hip hop and characterizing music by degrading and dumbing down and industry and putting more money into the pockets of corperate white american that go for it buddy! theres someone out there who has every Souljah Boy track and says he is better than Nas, what can I do, some people say Bush is a good president your entitled to your own opinion doesnt make it valid or right…

one mang gang I dont know why your still talking about Little Brother there dope leave them alone…

Wait in your last paragraph you lost me what are you talking about? Dont mention what? I like what you like? I dont understand what your saying man

All Im saying AGAIN I have to re-iterate it 1,000 times while you feel its necessary to speak inane jargon that doesnt pertain to me

Let me ask you this, if you have only ate ground beef all your life how are you going to know if a new york rib tastes better? Just because you like ground beef more than filet mignon it doesnt mean its better, its a proven fact that filet mignon is better quality i.e. someone with musical knowledges preference vs. someone who thinks souljab boy and shawty lo is dope yo

All Im saying is someone with more musical experience and knowledge has a more credible critique or review of musical material and my review was that this is lacking on production and chemistry on Joe’s side, thats it… I love Crooked I, Royce, & Joell is okay, but Budden isnt so special but they are all okay… Thats it period.. case closed why are you still debating absolutly nothing?

PS. Tribe Called Quest/Q Tip, Common, Lupe… I hope everyone would know these guys they are well known commercially

    Vote Obama

WADUP SKEME JUST LIKE YOU SAID BUT I HAVE TO MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND lol

  75. wadup..wadup unxpekted

  76. fam…you are getting lost in the names…I, for one, LOVE Little Brother’s music…I merely used their name as an EXAMPLE. Don’t get caught up in that like I’m saying they are trash. Would you rather I said “oldschool duo A” vs “newschool duo B”? My whole point is that not only do you not know what someone has eaten/tasted (since you want to use the food analogy), you also don’t know their preference. Just because a person says that filet mignon tastes better than ground beef doesn’t make it fact: it makes it that person’s opinion. If you’re getting into a vitamin breakdown or some shit, then okay…It’s not that I’m debating absolutely nothing, I’m trying to explain to you that because your opinion is different does not make your opinion RIGHT and everyone else musically inferior to you. That’s how you come off fam. From your commentary, you come off as the only dude to have ever heard and appreciate underground hip hop (pardon me, you and Skeme), and that everyone else who has an opinion that they love these four rapping together (or whatever else topic that doesn’t align with your view) doesn’t know shit about REAL HIP HOP. NOT THE CASE. That, sir, is what my point is. Much respect to your opinion and all…but your word is not law. So it’s not that you’re making “us” understand anything; it’s that you don’t understand that there’s the possibility that someone may have hip hop knowledge similar to yours, but appreciate a different flavor.

    Obama’s in, Vote INTELLIGENCE.

  77. Crooked I DEFO took this one… but damn, the track was just fuckin SICK

wasnt the beat done by Red Spyda yeah? sick beat!

    peace

  78. obersavations: crooked i is the b.o.s.s., royce is the shit foo!

  79. CROOKED I (2-0)

  80. My points went soaring right by your head homie, its whatever man u know where I stand

    Crooked took it

  81. [...] Slaughterhouse is the best thing to happen in Hip Hop in the past five eight years. [...]

  82. Crooked was in a class by himself on this track and that’s coming from someone who lists Budden and Royce as 2 of his favorite artists of the past 5 years.

  83. Wow… Everybody sleeps on Royce and Joey. Can’t say I’m suprised. That shit happens all the time.

  84. nah its like this….
    first Royce —- kills it
    then Joell ——
    Budden
    crooked

  85. Man give joe budden some credit i think royce is aight but yea crooked i is a sick dude….

  86. Whats the name of the other song thast they did together. Everyone keep talking bout this thier second track but nobody thinks to mention what the first one was called.

P.S. They ALL ovviously killed the track or it wouldnt be in the spotlight

  87. what a beastly group

  88. [...] show highlight was Slaughterhouse, a new rap supergroup featuring some of the industry’s most kick-ass underdogs: Joe Budden, [...]

  89. slaughterhouse did kill it at the paid dues concert…they all had tight rhymes and its obviously known that they all can spit. but i think they are still missing something from their performance, they are missing that chemistry where they cut throught each others flow and back each other up, but big ups to all of them for bringing to the westcoast!

  90. Crooked has about 1/10 of quality material/verses than the other dudes.

  91. UGG Bailey Button bootsis a new style in 2009.The classic cardy uggs boots is another hot boots that worth of buying. And the classic tall ugg boots will make your winter amusing.

  92. crooked I’s best songs are “can i talk to you?”, “live at the row”, “my life”, “my life 2.0″, “if you ever hear me”, “crooks and doggs” with snoop, “american me”, “should have made a phone call” and “W’s down”.

  93. I’d have to give blessing with you one this subject. Which is not something I typically do! I enjoy reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to speak my mind!

  94. We’ll do the wild thang.
