These tracks are all very boring… Joe is a C list rapper at best, he doesnt do anything refreshing or new. I listened to each track twice and only the beat grew on me, he sounds like everyother 100 block “metaphor” rappers. (Sounds alot like Serius Jones just not as nice, Jones would eat him alive for an appetizer)
His oscar the grouch voice isnt cutting it for me either.. before you hate hear me out
I knew a guy who’s world was Joe Budden, he thought he was the greatester rapper alive. After hanging out with me and me opening him up to “real hip hop” and other genres he will actually tell you he’s embarresed he used to like Joe as much as he does.. Oh well monkey see, monkey do… I cant hate man if you like it bump it! IMO he’s cool to listen to but he isnt anything more than a C list rapper (metaphors are kinda corny and easily predicted)
PS. Does anybody know or can recommend some ill Joe Buddens tracks because I cant find any, I tried his 2 old m.m. mixtapes but that didnt work, I really liked the Portishead MM3 mash up alot though!

nah, u can only get a hard copy if u originally ordered Padded Room be4 it got switched to a FEB 2009 release…this is a digital only album, sorta like a prequel to P.R……only 9 bucks though for 14 songs and a video, not bad…plus the quality is WAY better.

in my mind there just arent too many dudes better than budden though. his lyrics have a certain sincerity, if you know what i mean. its not just a matter of sounding nice on the beat but this dude, you can tell he’s not just rapping. every line is like an incision.
Plus, I find his metaphors brilliant. especially withc clowns like cassidy and wayne claimin as much. budden just makes it look easy. Seriously. None of the songs are bangers, but he’s one of the few rappers who’s lyrics, as opposed to the’hot’ beat really stick with me.
That’s why to the hardcore Budden fans, other rappers just don’t compare. He’s in a different genre nearly.
I like NaS, Jay-Z, Saigon and Royce (recently not so much. Scary Movie> Eyething on Bar Exam 2), Lupe, Blu, Drake too but Joey just has a special spot.
