Black Milk – Losing Out f. Royce Da 5’9″

This record has gotten serious burnage over the course of the last month. It’s absolutely retarded. And now that FMWJ has liberated it, I can now share with the dopeboyz/girlz. Tronic in stores October 28th!

  1. u overhyped this one.

ehh i still think people WAY overrate Black Milk and elzhi

elzhi is very good lyrically and has a sick flow etc. but listening to him or his album is like hearing the same shit over and over it gets boring.

and i Black Milk i just dont get it… stil havent been able to sit through any album hes produced without falling asleep. and his rapping is like watever. weird cause some of my most credible sources love his stuff …guess theres something im just not seeing.

  2. see this is all i ever ask for..some real hip hop.

  3. jayizratedx I recommend a Yung Joc or DJ Khaled album that my suit your style more

This track is fucking fire, Royce Da 5’9″ is a motherfucking monster!

you really need to listen to this again…are you fuckin serious?!…well I guess some people just dont dig real Hip Hop…oh well, everybody cant like everything.

also Elzhi, Black Milk, Royce >>>> Most Cats

dont sleep just cause they on the radio/MTV/ etc all the time…

  5. dont sleep just cause they on the radio/MTV/ etc all the time…

    ^^^

    they don’t*

  6. dis is freakin dope

  7. This is dope. I can’t say I agree with jayizratedx especially when it comes to Elzhi. I agree with you that Milk’s rhyming on any joints aren’t the greatest and his producing is better but maybe with Elzhi you need to check out some of his Slum shit before his solo album. I’ve never gotten sick of Elzhi on his stuff before The Preface and in my opinion he is one of the best in the game right now..

  8. Fire

  10. dope track.

  11. “The Matrix” and “Give The Drummer Some” was sick, this track was no acception either. His flow and lyrics sounds improved on all of the 3 tracks leaked so far. Can’t wait for the LP – being kinda disappointed with Statik’s release =(

  12. Yeah Statiks my dude but how could he top Spell My Name Right thats easily going down as a classic album next to Illmatic and others

as far as this track your an idiot if you think its not a heat rock

    Elzhi > your favorate rapper

If you dont think Elzhi is absolutly insane on whole other level of peotical verbalism your confused…

As for people not understanding why cats dont feel real underground hip hop its simple, some people were slaves opressed and some people rebeled and broke chains for revolution, thats what we are rebels, revolutionists, some people dont understand hip hop is more than vocodors, and falsefied stories of drug dealing murders and sex…

  13. Spell My Name Right as a classic…like Illmatic?!?!?!!!…

*gets in a tub full of water*

    *throws in toaster*

  14. Yup classic no hot tub no toaster

I said next to Illmatic, that doesnt in anyway mean its better than illmatic its just a refernce to something classic I thought you were a smart ass but your not that smart lol

  15. yeah… i like statik but spell my name right as a classic?!?!?! NAHHHH, that dont mean it aint dope though… not anywhere near Illmatic.

  16. This is fucking fire really hard shit.

  17. I think its a good album its a classic POSSE CUT album, Soul Survivor series is fuckin classic

  18. fuckin fire you gotta be stupid not to like this i have already listened to the song 10 times and going

  19. The drums on this are ridiculous. Thank God for Detroit. Fuck the Pistons though.

  20. lol @ all the dudes talkin bout “go listen to yung jock”… please dude…i listen to more underground rap then most of your kids. i was up on slum village before elzhi even signed up.

like i said im not saying their whack but some of you people paint elzhi and black milk as hip hops saviors when its not that serious.

Blu, Joe Budden, Royce, Little Brother, and Brother Ali are like my top 5 right now so it has nothing to do with being mainstream or getting radio play or not.

as for this particular song he said it like its the illest song out right now. id take like 85% of Bar Exam 2 over this track

  21. [...] FMWJ and 2DB. New track off of Black Milk’s upcoming album, Tronic. Love the sample on this banger. Keep [...]

  22. @ jayizratedx:

Ummm… first of all Joe Budden and Little Brother are not underground artists so NO you dont listen to more underground than most us “kids”

    1. Mr. Pump Pump it up is definitly not an underground artist and is known mainly for his mainstream hits, Little Brother had a mainstream hit song and has done songs with Playaz Circle & Lil Wayne, if you consider these guys underground than your obviously not exploring music in the underground. Underground music is not reflective of these artists

    2. I was up on Slum Village before Elzhi signed up ummm that proves you know absolutly nothing about the group.. T3 has always been down and Baatin had to back up becuase of health conditions and actually chose Elzhi who has always been with the crew to take over

    3. No one said they are hip hop saviors but they are fucking ill not like your top 5 that consists of Joe garbage and Blu, Blu is good but he is a fucking rookie has not proved anything to be top 5

    4. Brother Ali sold out if you knew about his old shit like Rites of Passage on cassette you wouldnt put him on that pedastool I also seen him get ripped in a battle, there is no way he’s in top 5

    5. Well I guess you have just been ethered I suggest to not talk like your a hip hop GOD and cry when everyone else is showing love for the track here it kind of makes you the oddball, the oddball thats bitching for no reason… PS I owned a strictly underground hip hop store so I probably wouldnt try to debate with me on music

    1

  23. lol dude are u serious? little brother are mainstream artists? hahahaha just cause phonte sang the hook on a playerz circle song doesnt mean hes any less underground. i followed them dudes since the college days before the listening and L.B. is quite simply the embodiment of a successful underground group.

and i would love to know how Brother Ali sold out. just by making that statement u obviously dont know much about hip hop. Brother Ali has dropped some of the best albums the past two years and yes i do own rites of passage and in my opinion his latest albums are just as good.

lol this is funny cause im not coming on here like some hip hop god and i didnt even say that this track was trash. theres a big diffrence between “garbage” and overhyped. i thought “slaughterhouse” was overhyped and thats far from garbage as well. its comment board for people to share their opinions and i gave mines. ur the one that sounds like a major Elitist just because the artists i listen to most arent “underground” enough for you. you sound like the type of kid that only likes shit because its underground and not based on how good the music is.

and even if you wanna go that route…try me man… i probably know about any artist you can possibly throw at me from Jayz to Cann Ox to jean grae to J-Live to sage francis, pumpkinhead, ….pffft come on man i dont even got shit to prove to u i know what i know.

nice try on the ether tho… sorry but owning a “underground” hip hop store doesnt make u the authority on good music. people have a right to not like something i could give a shit if everyone else likes it.

  24. Embodiment of successful underground group but you said you listened to more underground hip hop then us “kids” they are a commercially succesful group. They havnt been underground since the listening buddy, I garuntee when I was listening to them you had no idea who they were…

Brother Ali is okay he has not dropped some of the best albums but has dropped decent albums

You didnt seem to want to refer to Budden as your top five that alone makes me unable to consider you have any idea of what hip hop is…

All those artists you listed are popular commercial underground artists an underground artist is cats like Laster, QNC, Exquizite, Symbolic One, The Chapter, DJ JS-1, Street Smartz, Sir Menelik, Dom Pachino, Lone Catalysts, Moorcheeba, Intelligent Wise, .. man I could go on

I have classic rare vinyls you have neevr heard in your life, im not the authority on good music… People have a right to like something but when you come on hear and do this

“lol @ all the dudes talkin bout “go listen to yung jock”… please dude…i listen to more underground rap then most of your kids. i was up on slum village before elzhi even signed up.”

Your plain out bitching like alil girl, everyone hear agrees the track is fire, either enjoy it or listen to your pump pump it up and move on…

Did you see that recent video for Joe’s new song? Shit was like pump pump it up pt.2

  26. Unxpekted. Buahahaha!!!! I’ve been away for awhile, enjoying the world. How you livin? Been away for a bit. You make a muhfucka LAUGH for real. Still embarrassing yourself and the hip hop artists you jock, i see.

You own unknown vinyl? You know about more underground artists than dude? You knew about said artist before anyone else? Word? Do you think anyone fucking cares? What do you want, a cookie? You’re that ‘too cool for school’ type that thinks you know more that everyone else and you drop out only to realize life has passed you by. I’ve seen a ton a fools just like you.

So dude isn’t feelin this particular Royce track. You gettin all flustered, crying like a bitch with a skinned knee that someone isn’t in agreement with ‘everyone’. Because you speak for everyone. You still talking about Joe Budden like he fucked your chick. Joe Budden heads don’t listen to Pump It Up. You’re a clown…always talking about that shit in ROYCE POSTS. I feel bad for you dude….still seeking life approval on hip hop message boards.

You’ve said alot of dumb shit, just about every damn time you post…but saying Statik and Illmatic is the same sentence is TOPS. You’re done. The emotional, confused hip hop head of the year goes to Unxpected, Disciple of Trisomy 21.

  27. lmao how does this dude even read this blog and yet talk shit like that about Joe Budden when this is one of the first blogs that anticipates and praises budden material. if your mentioning pump it up then u obviously dont even know what joe budden is all about.

and for the record …Pump it up is a GREAT record

look man, dudes post above me just validated it….i can already tell you one of these elitist clowns that only listens to shit because nobody knows about it instead of listening to music because its good.

like dude u ethered urself just by saying that Brother Ali sold out lol. are u serious right now? so just cause an underground artist obtains success means their sacrificing the type of music they make? PFFFFTTTTT …ur a lameeeee lol

  28. PUMP IT UP IS A GREAT RECORD.. I Couldnt even read the rest of what youw rote

jayizratedx = biggest idiot/confused hip head

Whats this fag gonna say next I LIKE SOULJAH BOY SHE GOT A DUNK IS A CLASSIC fuck outta here lil kid your next in my class 1

Get off that albino’s dick dudes got buried by Freeway on a track FREEWAY…

    1

  29. lol right… sorry that youve never been out of ur house. whats the matter? u cant dance? dont got no rhythm? sorry that some of us enjoy a fun record lol

ur disgusting… i usually respect everyones opinion of what they like in hip hop. whether u enjoy soulja boy and hurricane chris or nas or little brother thats all hip hop and the beauty of hip hop is being able to encompass all those things in one culture. i may not be feeling a certain type of music but it is what it is…its just not catered to me..

the problem with hip hop is that theres no balance between all these diffrent types of music and the corporate assholes oversaturate.

but no u dont understand that… ur just an ignorant elitist prick who thinks only one type of music should be made and evrything else is crap. Hip Hop is fun, its introspective, its political, its the clubs, its emotional. because you cant accept that YOU ARE NOT HIP HOP! done.

  30. ya’ll having that good ole pissing contest huh?…lol.

I remember them days when I use to have big ole arguments like this…on DX…ha.

    K.I.M. homies…

“Im the one who’s losin out…”

  35. Your a fucking dumb ass losing out because I dont listen to Souljah BOY HHAAHHAHAHAHAAHAHA Go fucking kill yourself heres the break down

  36. The instramental like format Black Milk chose to end the song reminded me of something off of ‘Late Registration”.

  37. Heres the breakdown pertaining to jayizratedx I am going to try and answer to you intelligently and not badger or disrespect you if you want to try and debate in a serious manner

1st. Why do you keep commenting? First of all if you look at all your posts and all of mine… I have responded and immediatly proved all your statements to be false, ignorant, irrelovent, or flat out incorrect. From Slum Village to underground artists and so on, and what do you do next: “Oh whatever man I know hip hop your lame this and that” Your comments are redundant and your saying absolutly nothing, not even one comment was something I wouldnt know or someone w/o an even knowledge of hip hop wouldnt know. Your discussion w/ me is inane unless you reply with something valid which you have not so therefore your rambling for nothing.

2nd. Souljah Boy is not hip hop that is pop music, so the fact that you said that PROVES your ignorant and misinformed when it comes to hip hop.. I mean you ethered yourself with this statement, same with Marke Twain Fame (Mark Twain? no wonder) who agreed… Go to a Rock the Bells tour run a test and asks cats if they think Souljah Boy is hip hop, everyone will laugh in your face and potentially spit on you.. Joe Budden is not substanial he’s done absolutly nothing as an artist to move hip hop in a different direction(movement wise)… And saying pump pump it up is hot? HAHA your a joke, plain and simple, sure club music is cool I dont bump it in the car but were discussing is what you originally said, stay on point you said “I listen to more underground rap then most of your kids”.. See what I mean contradicting yourself left and right hypocritical… You hold no weight homie your obviously pretending to be something your not and have no idea of what your discussing with me and have no knowledge on actual hip hop

    3. Speaking on politics it has nothing to do with saturation it has to do with sales.. The industry finds that white suburbia aka kids who may be someone like you find ignorant, dumbed down, degrading music to appeal to them. Unfortunately dudes in the hood arent buying cd’s so white suburbia tells the industry what sells and now the industry tells artists what to sell, so they promote it and threaten to hurt our industry by doing so and what do you do!? Claim its hip hop your killing the music yourself.

    4. If this is a resume contest unfortunately your not on my level, your idea of hip hop is smalltime based artists with minimal albums, contribution, talent and versaitlity. I myself lived in Palestine for 5 years and owned a hip hop store and contributed to a large community who now find refuge and hope from real hip hop music. There eclectic background has cats spitting on dj premier beats while someone plays live instrumentation some rap in aramiac the language of God. There was graffiti breakdancing and many other things we did that kept alot of kids from doing bad stuff. Some of the people I met were there one day and killed the next day. SO if you wanna take this thing I love so much and say a 12 year old kid with no talent and extensive marketing backed by a white man who knows nothing about the culture is part of a movement then ultimately I have no option but to label you igorant and actually I dispise you you said im disgusting your truely the disgusting one.

    5. Any comment after this holds no merit we already discussed I told you where I stand and you have nothing to enlighten or prove to me. Any further continuation of speaking to me is a sign of weakness, it just means your ego hurt from you losing a debate you shouldnt have got in so therefore you have to get the “last word”. I dont like you I dont want to have any more conversation w/ you and thats it. There is no point for us to conversate its laid to rest and now maybe I have opened your eyes to see your not that hip hop God you thought you were.

    1

  38. unexpekted you’re fucking dumb.

  39. chrismoke eats a fat black dude and gets pissed on at funeral and his moms mouth treated like a urinal

  40. Wow.. well that was alot of unnecesary typing… Black Milk and Royce together though?… Its like early Christmas!

  41. I don’t know about ya’ll but the first track off Tronic – “Long Story Short” is fuckin’ sicker than a muthafuck!

  42. Heard someone bumpin’t this on tha streets yesterday so I had to come back to this site and listen to it again

  43. Unxpekted is a faggot
