I fux with Murs, but why is he even on a major label? He might as well be independent because from my knowledge, he isn’t getting ANY pub outside of the internet. Does he have a video out? NO! Does he have a song on the radio? NO! Will he sell? NO! Not saying I judge artist by that criteria cuz I certainly don’t but if you sign to a major “because your better than everybody on the label” like he says shouldn’t you be given, or be giving yourself a fair shot at competing by having the same amount of material on TV/radio like other commercial artist. I’m jus saying, I’m going to support him and I’m sure the album will be dope, but he won’t sell, and thus he will be dropped.
^^he’s been on mtv quite a bit lately and has plans for other things coming soon. he just wants the chance to get on the radio and show that their is better music than what is out now.

I’m all for that, I just feel like his label isn’t giving him the chance to compete. I honestly feel like (99.99% of) labels are against positive good music. I hope the best for him…him being on MTV is a good look though, I need to learn to take my TV off ESPN sometimes…
Yo like Shake said, he’s been getting major play from MTV lately! wehn MTV goes to and comes back from their commercial breaks they preview a track from his album almost everytime! One of the tracks is that “Lookin Fly” track and that beat alone iis gonna catch some attention! + He’s got a pretty decent size fan base, he’s been around for a min. so folks is gonna cop his shit! I’m not sure if major retailiers like Target anf others are gonna carry it but if they do, it will be a good seller! Like I said before he spitz that realness and the beatz (mostly 9th wonder) are crazy so catz are gonna wanna hear this! As far as radio goes, I don’t think he’ll get that much play because it aint that mainstream ish you hear on the box. Either way if you down w/ that realness than copp this album!
Anyone ever notice how BET plays wack hip hop and MTV plays and promote good hip hop (murs, atmosphere, kidz n the hall) YET their owned by the same company? That puzzles me…
