but anyway ..i read an interview with Tip..they asked him what producers he worked with for the new album …his response was..
Q-Tip: I produced the album myself. There will be a live band also.

Video and song are both real dope.

But I was just wondering right now…
maybe Lupe and him have been holding the “Paris, Tokyo” Remix back so Tip would be getting more play around the same time his album drops.

Shake/Meka, do you guys have any insight if this could be the case?

I dig the song and the video, but it’s funny because Q-tip is a benefactor of timing. Hip-hop has come full circle, back to a point where he can jump in the game and not be seen as to eclectic. His first album was hot. It had tons of Dilla produced tracks, but the hip-hop world was on some Ja-rule shit when it dropped. It’s good to see that some of the cultures pioneers understand staying relevant and in touch.
