The Foreign Exchange – Daykeeper f. Muhsinah

You already know that the dope boyz are loyal supporters of Foreign Exchange, and now their first single has finally dropped. After what went down with the 88-Keys post I did a while ago, I won’t yoke the song from their site and slap it up here, but you can hit the link below to cop the song off their site. Phonte was nice enough to let it go. Chea!

  1. Horribly disappointing. Damn you, Phonte. How can anyone take dude seriously when he sings. His voice is way below average. God damn it, I knew he was gonna do this shit, could see it coming from a mile away. I’m not sure he cares about rapping anymore. This is their single? They want this to flop I guess. This would work as the intro or outro, so hopefully it’s in one of those slots and he raps on the rest of the tracks. This singing shit is out of control.

  2. OK fuck, it is the opening track. My bad on the above. I’m cool with that, but still weary about Phonte getting sing happy on us.

  3. mike is a retard.

go read up on Foreign Exchange(plus the fact that Te himself has said, this album aint gonna be Connected Part 2 but a whole new sound, vibe, etc etc), and on Te’s career. Dude raps but also sings…

if you aint diggin it then move on, dont bitch about it in some dumbass irreverent paragraph.

…dude is a decent singer, he sang alot of ish on the little brother records and that Zo & Tigallo love the 80′s album…yeah dude was top notch on it…

dude still cares about rappin…it’s just a side project that allows him to do whatever the fuck he wants do with it…

    let the shit breath man…

  4. I’m a retard? Word. Last time I checked FE is in the entertainment business and people are supposed to have an opinion on their work. My opinion is that if Tay gets sing happy this album will appeal to a very small group of people and will be a disappointment to myself, one of his biggest supporters. Obviously he’s an artist and can do whatever the fuck he wants, but I can also think whatever the fuck I want about it. I’m sure Tay doesn’t give a damn if one person or even a large group of people like it. You could see his change in attitude about his work for a while now. I don’t want to sound like the girl he talks about on Getback (“sounds different”…”nigga, thats the point!”) but I think he’s missing the chance to go down as one of the all-time greats in the rap game. Again….if he’s not interested in doing that then he shouldn’t, it’s his work and his life, he can do whatever.

  5. this shit is smooth

  6. Dopeness…these guys are top notch for sure.
And Muhsinah putting it down as always.

  7. whoo, smooth and deadly. eat a dick mike and let the dude expand his horizons as an artist. Te rips the mic to pieces, we know this, but he’s killing it on the smooth r&b tip too so respect.

  8. This is the type of music I put and just fall asleep to. Real smooth type shit…

  9. holy shit. that track is…hyponotizin…damn. Smooth shit for real i’m copin this shit.

  10. *coppin my bad

  11. I feel where mike & mark twain both coming from…

I gotta admit it is kinda frustrating to hear Phonte singing all the time esp when you know how nice he is on the mic. But I guess thats just part of being an artist period… I actually dug the Zo & Tiggalo Love the 80′s shit and this song… but I do agree its about artistry. 10/11 songs on Getback had singing on it… just food for thought I guess.

  12. I think everyone mad cause he singing is missing the point. Its not a little brother album this his outlet as an artist. If this was a LB song then be mad I understand. This his r & b outlet which usually means singing some duets all that. I’m feeling it

  13. Oh Oh Mike you stupid!

  14. kw3li said it best… this isn’t a lb album, this is phonte working with other artists and genres of music.

  15. I agree with Mike!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. i honestly don’t see how people overlook how fuckin DOPE this record is just because te isn’t rappin. if you didn’t know who phonte was or little brother would your opinion change on this? just because you know that te can rhyme shouldn’t make you dislike this record. good music is good music.
