But when J-Swift and the Pharcyde played me the ruff demo to "Passin Me By" only the second song they had completed as the Pharcyde. (lil known fact they were first known as 2 By 2 and they did R&B rap prior to pharcyde) I was blown away and knew something serious was happening. I was already their mgr by this time and you would be shocked how many labels slept on their 3 song demo Ya Mana, Passin Me By & Hey Officer.
